Tracks repeated?

In an album that contains tracks where the artists name differs slightly, ie Elvis Costello's greatest hits, where some of the tracks are by 'Elvis Costello & The Attractions' my Foobar will list these tracks twice, 1 with just Elvis Costello as the artist name and then again with Elvis Costello & The Attractions, and also play the track twice. How can I just have these songs once and play only once? I am new to Foobar and would appreciate layman's terms if anyone can help
