Help with ipod manager/I'm new and need a little guidance

I don't believe myself to be a complete idiot, but I'm struggling with adding components and particularly the ipod manager. I looked at the additional components list on the website and clicked on the ipod manger heading but there is no obvious download link. I also went to Preference/Components and clicked on install and it prompts me with options from my own computer. What am I doing wrong?

I'm quite happy to be told I'm being dim if there is something simple I'm missing, but having spent the weekend downloading, testing and rejecting various other horrible bits of software for ripping, converting and managing what I hope will become a comprehensive music library, I finally felt that foobar might be the one for me. Only them to fall at the next hurdle. Can someone please put me right so I can stop bothering with and being bothered by iTunes? I know some people think the world is Apple shaped, but I'm not one of them and I hate the inflexibility of iTunes encoding.

Threads about third-party components do not belong in Support, as stated in its rules.

The next step would be to click “Home page”, and you’ll find that it offers a download link.

You may prefer to ask questions in the dedicated thread for foo_dop, which should be on the first or second page of this sub-forum.

In any case, note that the developer of this plugin has not been heard from for over a year, so you will have to rely upon help and experience from other users.
