Improvement for track-selection when ripping a CD

Hi!

When I want to rip a CD I get the track-list in the rip-dialog after I pressed the lookup-button and the update-files-button. Now in that list I can select which file(s) I want to rip.

What I’m missing here is the possibility to listen into the tracks so that I can decide, which track I want to rip or not. There is no play-function.

Is there a way to do this or could this perhaps implemented in a future version?

Thanks for any help

Under File > Open audio CD...
Instead of 'Rip' choose 'Add to playlist'.
Go back to File > Open audio CD...
Now choose 'Rip'.
While the Rip Audio CD window is open, you can still click back on the playlist and play tracks normally.

Hi!

Unfortunately this is not possible for me. I'm blind and so I'm using a screenreader to work with a PC under Windows. This piece of software will translate the information that is displayed on the screen into speech and generate also braille output.

When opening a dialog box like File -> open Audio CD -> Rip my view to the screen is restricted to the active "window", in this case the complete Dialog box for CD ripping. So in this situation I have no access to the playlist area until I close the rip-dialog.

So it would be great if in a previous version of Foobar2000 a play-function could be added to the Rip-dialog.
