Single filed albums with gaps at the end

I have a multiple mp3 file (not single filed) album with 5 second postgaps and some of them have some 3 second pregaps. I'm not much a CUESHEET kind of guy, but how do I fix this without re-encoding?

Manual way would be by using mp3DirectCut.

Talk about easy. WOW! I am impress how direct this program is. Although is there a way to do this through TAGS? I like to keep files in it's absolute originality so it matches it's release length.

Hm... I don't know if this could be fixed with tags... and even if you would put the info about the gap in tags, you would have to use a player that supported something like that... I doubt such combination exists...

I have one suggestion, if you're using winamp... Use "Nullsoft DirectSound Output", configure it under "Other" tab - set "Silence remover" to like -45.0 dB. That should cut only "real" silence and playback everything audible like before. At least in my experience.

Other than that, I can't help you, sorry.
