EAC Rerip Testing

My goal is to correctly archive my CDs to flac w/cue as some are getting nearly 20 years old and I think will be subject to degradation of the materials at some point.  Most are out of print copies, and I wish to save them before it is too late.

However I am a bit concerned about copies (obtained elsewhere) which were made using EAC and show a successful log file (as far as AccurateRip reporting tracks are accurately ripped with a confidence level) - yet when a CD is burned and reripped using Hydrogenaudio recommended settings, AccurateRip Test/Copy CRCs match each other but are different from the original log file, and AccurateRip reports that it cannot find the tracks in its database.  It does not seem that the copy made from the EAC cue and flac files is an exact copy as it should be.  What is upsetting is that this seems to be the case with about 75% of the CDs that were ripped by someone else.

Yes, I have done the obvious and determined/checked my write offset several times and have written disks using two different drives.

Yes, I can rip CDs myself using EAC (verified by AccurateRip), write the files to a CD using a different drive, and then rerip - getting exactly the same AccurateRip results.

Problem is.....  do I believe my own rerip test?  Will I find out later that I cannot regenerate my own CDs for some reason like using a different computer or a different version of EAC?

It occurs to me that if EAC settings are screwed up by multiple people who submit them to AccurateRip - then AccurateRip becomes inaccurate.  Is this true?

Am I expecting too much to have copies of CDs ripped by someone else be able to generate the same AccurateRip results when I rip them?  Any ideas?  I have carefully configured EAC using the Hydrogenaudio wikis on the subject.  Can anyone verify my EAC settings as correct?

Examples of my log and cue files are attached.

Sony DRU810A is the drive use to rip both original CD and the copy CD
Lite-on LH-20A1H with Write Offset of -6 is used for writing the copy CD

Here is my cue file:

EAC Rerip Testing

OK - let me ask part of it in a different way and maybe I'll get an answer:

1.  I rip a CD to FLAC, using the correct EAC settings and I get an AccurateRip confidence level of say 18 (for example).
2.  I then burn a CD, using a different drive than the ripping drive.
3.  I then rerip the burned CD using the original drive and compare log files.

I think they should be exactly the same if all EAC settings (including write offset) are correct.

Is this a correct assumption?

By doing this rerip test, does this mean that any drive/computer (correctly set up) should be able to duplicate the same AccurateRip results when ripping a CD burned from my flac/cue files?

Did you ever get a satisfactory response to your posts or, better still, did you manage to work it out for yourself? Why is it always the simple questions that go unanswered?

I worked it out for myself

I have verified this is a correct assumption - I have compared log files while doing this many times now.

Yes, I have verified that a different computer (EAC correctly set up) can duplicate the same AccurateRip results (and the other info in log files as well).  If you can't verify the same results, then EAC settings are not correct on one or both computers.  If someone else rips with wrong settings, it might be possible to match their settings from a log file and generate a good copy as long as the read offset was correct.  Two wrongs might sometimes be able to make a right.  Otherwise all bets are off.  I think some accuraterip results can be bogus if enough people make the same EAC configuation mistake.  Of course all of this means nothing if you don't care if the copy is not a bit for bit copy of the original.  It's not as easy as some might think.

Why is it always the simple questions that go unanswered?

If I were to guess it's because of this:
However I am a bit concerned about copies (obtained elsewhere)
