you can't turn it off. but as foobar2000 never touches your files unless you explicitly tell it to, it shouldn't be a problem.

Problem occurs with converted to WAV tracks  from lossless ( cue+file ) and autowritten by fb2k tag from cue.
Usually I'm do that with vinyl rips and try different variants of cleaning/mastering. But these different variants of track looks in playlist with the same title from tag...
Of course it's possible to clean/remove tag, but not conveniently...

Do you have any problems with the tools for cleaning and mastering when loading the tagged wav files?

set the converter to show a status report when finished. when done, highlight all tracks in the window>right click>properties>tools>remove tags. it's not that much effort.

The only bother - all different variants of mastering (for example - track1, 1a, 1bb, clean1... etc.)  shown in playlist with the same title as track1 ( as in tag )      .

You could add a column to your playlist view that helps you differentiating

Try this Title Format for your Playlist viewer if you only want to omit the tags from .wav-files:

Code: [Select]
$if($strcmp($ext(%path%),wav),%filename_ext%,%artist% - %title%)

It will display tags for every other format but only the filename for the .wav-files.
