Lame settings: some doubt about my config, can you help me?

Hi to all,

i'm configurating EAC with lame.

I want to obtain:

- MP3 @ 320 kbps at maximum quality

My actual setting is:

-b 320 -q0 %source% %dest%

My question is:

- this setting allow me to obtain the maximum theorical quality from LAME and MP3?

I have see that with -b 320 MP3 are in Joint Stereo.

I have read that up to 192 kbps the default setting for LAME is Stereo, not J-Stereo.

Because it use J-Stereo with -b 320?

Thanks!

No, the default is joint stereo for all settings, unless you disable it with a switch. It is the default because it is the best.
