Chronflow: Initializing Error

I have tried using the component "Chronflow" since quite sometime now.
I can view/modify the settings from within foobar preferences.
But... whenever i try to include it in my layout, i get these errors:

"Couldn't get a hardware accelerated PixelFormat"
or
"TexLoader: Can't Set The PixelFormat."
&
"ImgTexture Leak: 2"

the console doesn't show any extra errors.
well... i want to try out this component but due to this little hiccup, i am missing out on it.
any help would be greatly appreciated
