How to correct the "playtime" and "bitrate"?

Dear all,

Recently I trim some mp3s, but all trimmed mp3s display uncorrect bitrate and playtime information. I use MP3 Frame Editor v2.22 to trim mp3 because it won't make loss of quality. Is there any software that can correct the trimmed mp3s with correct playtime and bitrate information?

I don't remember the names of the programs, but everyone I've tried had the same result.  Especially trimming VBR files.  They play fine afterwards but the time is messed up and it ends up listed as a CBR.

There is a program (freeware) named WAP VBR Fix - did a great job for me many times. Writes proper vbr tag. Try it!

You could also try MP3/Tag Studioto fix or add VBR header (press button on right for File Tools (repair, trim, listmaker...)). I think that was easiest for me, but I haven't split/faded/cropped a MP3 for a while.

MP3DirectCut is perhaps a clearer interface than MP3FrameEditor, is very powerful and can play the sound you're editing. And it's not limited in the number of encodes you can do.

Search for these apps on google if you want to try them.
