[Help] I need some help with music players!

Hello!

Well, I don't really got a good knowledge of formats and stuff, so please, take it easy.
I have a nice Library in WMP12, everything with its tags on, album covers and etc. But I've been reading around, and ppl say that with WMP I can't really get all the "performance" as I would get with Foobar2000 for example, but thats the problem, I can't really get along with Foobar, I can't organize my songs like in wmp... So I'd really apreciate some tips about how to improve my WMP so I can get a REALLY good quality sound, or another good player that is similar to WMPs, or how to organize myself in the Foobar, I wanna get the best quality (I mean, dont get "downgraded" by a software) with a nice library.
Thnx in advance, and I hope I'm not posting on the wrong section.
I'd really apreciate ANY help

Pretty much every program has identical quality.  If you like WMP, theres no reason to use anything else.

Worries about audio quality across players are by and large unfounded.

If you prefer WMP, by all means, use it.

People say a lot of things that are not true, or half-true, or misguided, or mythical, or legendary. Investigate the case yourself, or ask around in reputable places, which you've done just now  .

Thnks for the awnsers, just one more thing, do any of you know like a codec, plugin, something that would improve my wmp usage? I got a 5.1 speaker system, dunno if that helps.
Thnks a lot! XD

"improve your usage" how? You'll need to be more specific. Do you mean sound quality, or something else to do with WMP's configuration? If the former, it depends on what you mean by "really good quality sound". I imagine most users here think of "best quality" as being the most accurate reproduction of the source material, whereas you may be talking about EQ, compression, X-Fi type enhancers (sparkle-adders basically), etc.

You could use a better ripper than WMP.

Secure ripping from the wiki. You might want to check the other topics there as well.

Oh, I have another doubt >.<
Whats the best format to burn songs in a CD? To listen in every player (like minisystems, stereos and so on), is WAV the way to go? if it is, can I put it on folder and burn right on the cd and the players will read it?
Thnks a lot for the replies

Hmmmmmmm, I would guess . . . an audio CD.

No.

Any files you want to burn to an audio CD are first decompressed to PCM and then written as Red Book audio (Google both of these for more information). Obviously it's best to burn from lossless sources if you have them, but in either case (lossless or lossy), there are programs available that can automatically decompress and burn files of most formats for you. Examples: foobar2000, Burrrn, dBpowerAMP, etc.

You can write MP3 CDs, which are basically MP3 files stored on a data CD, but these are less widely supported.

Hmm, do you know how to do that with Foobar?
And, is there any way that I could add a folder with the covers on this audio cd? (just for organizing purposes)

Thnks! xD

Answers to both of your questions are very easy to find, if you look.

Again, research audio CDs / the Red Book standard. Audio CDs cannot store cover art, or any other kind of data file. That's why they are called audio CDs.
