Thumbnails for FLAC in Windows Explorer

My music folder consists of 1 FLAC file with embedded cue sheet per album and I'd like to have album art thumbnails. I've seen them work for M4A and MP3, but not Flac.
Any Ideas?

Unfortunately neither Windows 7 natively handles .flac files and as far as i know there isn't any software that could add this feature. We gotta hope that Microsoft adds native support with the next version of Windows but i don't think that will come, even though it's the most diffused lossless codec out there. Sending feedback about this to Microsoft is not a bad idea however, they are finally opening up a lot to people's feedback. It's worth trying to,at least. If HD-AAC lossless gets released, I'm pretty sure its support will be native and universal,as a standard, that's how market goes with these kind of things.

There are plugin's enabling playing FLAC and tagging FLAC in WMP.
It is not possible to use WMP to rip to FLAC.
To play FLAC you need a Directshow Filter :

http://www.xiph.org/dshow/
http://www.pristineclassical.com/More/WMP-FLAC.html (MadFlac, works with 24/96 kHz)
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/CoreFL...der_Encoder.htm

To tag FLAC files using WMP you need:
WMP Tag Support Extender.
See: http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?ti...g-in_properties

WMP Tag Plus
WMP Tag Plus is a free Windows Media Player plug-in that adds support for reading and writing tags (metadata) of MPEG4, FLAC, Vorbis and WavPack files.

I'll give it a try, but I doubt FLAC support is high on their priority list.

Will this give me thumbnails in my music folder? If it's just for playing the files, I'm pretty happy with Foobar.

No, that'd require an add-on/hack of Windows Explorer, and a quick Google for "Windows Explorer FLAC thumbnail" found only a couple of threads suggesting no such thing exists.

I did the same thing and got the same result. I found one for .mkv thumbnails a while ago and held out hope that there was one for FLAC. Looks like I'm out of luck.

Probably via a shell extension, which dbpoweramp has always been nothing short of excellent at.
EAC>1)fb2k>LAME3.99 -V 0 --vbr-new>WMP12 2)MAC-Extra High

Yes is a shell extension, also allows the ID Tags of any format to be edited in Explorer down at the bottom. Plus (I see it as a Plus) it will take over Windows handling of mp3 tags (traditionally Windows has been weak on mp3 metadata handling, it has a bad rap so to speak).
