[TOS #6] Is converting FLAC to WAV recommended?

I have these FLAC audio files on my HDD, but I wanted to know if any quality is gained when converting FLAC to WAV? Since FLAC reduces 50–60% of the original size of an LCPM, which is the uncompressed file, so is converting back to WAV restore the 50-60% lost? or should I just convert the FLAC file to MP3 (LAME)? Thank you, much appreciated.
