Error Correction Code for audio files

any idea how i could create an error correction code for my (audio) files
to save as a new file with my audio files?

i'd find that useful for my audio files but it could also be useful for other data.

DVDisaster if you are talking about CD/DVD, WinRAR otherwise

i'd use it for mp3 and flac files.

winrar is a good tip.
i'm curious if the freeware 7zip also has a similar function.

is there an alternative way without packing the files into archives?
