Foobar memory consumption

A friend has iTunes installed with his entire library, and foobar with about 60% of his library in. The memory usage is such:


[note: one extra plugin installed (file ops), foobar currently idling]

When did this happen? It seems to be a difference between XP and Vista/7, but still - the idea of iTunes using less memory than foobar even with a larger library? On XP, foobar never seemed to use up more than 30MB for me. Now it's at 166MB. What's happened?

Making a screenshot of the foobar2000 process'es Performance tab in Process Explorer could tell more.
Full-quoting makes you scroll past the same junk over and over.

How big is your music library? For example, my music lib is about ~40GB and foobar consumes about ~35-45MB Ram (Win7):
