freedb plugin user given custom disc-id ?

hello everybody,

i use the freedb plugin to tag my files but sometimes the plugin does not find the correct disc on the freedb-database.  (the reason could be, that sometimes a mp3-track is missing or anything else...does not matter here)

if i search/browse the freedb-website, the cd is in the list and shows up correctly.

the correct entry shows an "Disc-ID:", i.e. Disc-ID: data / bd0e6b0f

i was wondering, if -and how- it could be possible to tag the files with this id.

is it possible to commit the id anyhow to the freedb plugin? or another plugin?

the discogs-plugin for example takes a "release-id or url", which is very handy. so the user can manually type the release-id and the mp3-files will be tagged with the correct information.

for now, i have to copy the text from the freedb-webpage and paste it manually into a masstagger action, which is ok, but a lot of work.

anyone any idea/hint?

cheers,
