request for a plugin that can...

Something like what the masstagger component does now, but with hotkeys. I frequently have to perform the same tag manips (cleaning out comments tags, assigning "Unknown" to some tags, inserting custom tags into file) and it would be helpful if I could assign a hotkey for the action. The same GUI as the masstagger component, but with something like "assign a hotkey for this action" radio button somewhere, or something that can integrate with keyboard shortcuts, though I don't know how that can be done without breaking the GUI horribly. If nobody is interested, this would the first plugin I write for foobar.
