Can M-Audio Delta 1010 coexist with a M-Audio FW1814?

Does anyone know if these two cards can coexist in the same computer and record simultaneously?  I'm looking to expand my home studio that has a 1010.  I think it's time to move to a new piece of hardware instead of trying to buy another 1010.

Whenever different soundcards are used to record at the same time, they must run from the same clock; they cannot stay in synch if each uses its own clock.

The professional studio most often use wordclock, the time signal being supplied by a separate dedicated device. Many soundcards have wordclock connections to use this signal but not all do.

Two or more soundcards can often be used together as a signal device if there is a way to make one the master and the other(s) slave to its clock. The S/PDIF connections are probably the most common path for this. The M-Audio Delta series drivers provides for up to four soundcards to be synched together this way. Often this method can be used with totally unrelated soundcards, each from a different manufacturer, if they all have S/PDIF inputs and outputs that will work at the sample rate you want to use.

I can’t say in particular about the two cards you want to mate. You will have to look to their specifications.
