EAC rip with "lag" ?

I've never had any problems with EAC, but this time something strange happened. I hope someone can explain this to me.

I've ripped the second cd of a hits compilation. The rip process went fine, but later when I listened to the music I realized that some tracks (like track 8) have a "lag" of about one second in ~30sec of the track.

My log:

Did you look at the file in a wave editor to make sure there wasn't some strange problem during playback?

Did you try playing the original disc to make sure it doesn't have a problem?

If it turns out that there's a problem with the file, try ripping again without C2 pointers or try ripping in burst mode.

On a final note, please make sure to choose the most appropriate forum when starting new threads.

There is no strange problem with the playback. It's definetly the extracted file. I tested it with different audio players. No problem with the original CD though. Without the C2 pointers the files are fine. I'm just wondering because I always thought when the EAC rip is ok, in overall, this shouldn't happen. Should I disable C2 pointers in general? Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the wrong section.

Depends on the drive.

Do subsequent rips using C2 pointers return the same checksum for this track?
