Displaying Album Art and removing UI Elements

1. how can i change the tag world for album art view, like "*.jpg", "thumb" etc
2. how can i remove a panel, i mean, for example, i want to remove the spectre panel and tab above it, i found only "cut" thing, but it's not that i need.

Please see this post on supported file name schemes for cover art.

Then you have to be more specific
Maybe 'Replace UI element' is what you're looking for.

Please also note that elements of the foobar2000 0.9.5 Default UI are called UI elements (rather than Panels).

'Cut UI Element' removes the selected UI element.

You can also play around with the customizing capabilities by creating a scratchbox (via 'View > Layout > Create Scratchbox').

for example, i want to remove the spectre panel and tab above it

Activate the layout editing mode, right-click on the tab, and chose Remove Tab. You can also middle-click on it.

If the removed element was inside a splitter, the solution is to cut the other element in the splitter, and to paste it over the splitter.

hello,

I've got nearly the same problem/question.

I downloaded foobar2000 v0.9.5, i have also used some previous versions.

I have one big problem with the new release:
I don't know how i can add an element to an imported ui-theme file.

I have tried the following:

view->layout->quick->setup->add an element to the ui
view->layout->create scratchbox->import ui-theme->add elements (and export new ui-theme).
(the "layout editing mode toggle" was activated both times)

The problem i face is the context menue:

I have an option to cut an element away from the existing theme,
I have an option to paste an element into an existing theme. (requires copying before),
I have an option to copy an element from an existing theme.

BUT i can't  find to an option to simply add an element from the "add ui-element" window, (i know that window exists from the release note, but can't open it up), nor can i find an option to add a splitter.

i tried that in the actual ui and in the scratchbox .... no idea how to do it
There must be some simple solution to it.
please help.

i forgot to mention the ability to replace an element, but that's also not what i want, i want to add an element/splitter

To add an UI element you first need some empty space which is not already occupied by an UI element. Normally you don't have unused parts in your UI configuration.

To create this empty space, you can select an UI element and replace it by a splitter. By this, the selected UI element is copied to the first part of the splitter and you can use 'Add New UI Element...' at the empty part of the splitter to add the new UI element.
