Software to make Cd Cover Art + Labels under Linux or Mac

I'm looking for software suggestions to create cd cover art/labels. Hard part is that I'm looking for programs for linux. I also have macbook and I wouldn't mind doing editing under that either. Any recommendations?

EDIT: I tried to put this thread in the best matching forum, but if mods feel this is out of place please move it.
