Displays FLAC embedded full size album art

My Win7 WMP12 was used to play MP3 only before. Today I downloaded and installed DirectShow Filters & WMP Tag Plus to get FLAC support. All functions appear to be working fine. I like get your help to clarify one more thing, My WMP12 ‘PlayerModeAlbumArtSelected’ & ‘ShowAlbumArt’ have changed to display WMP album art at full size (600 X 600, this is not Win default setting) at NOW PLAYING screen and it works well. I tried one FLAC album embedded 600 X 600 jag art same way before, but those new FLAC support display only show 240 X 240.

I like to know if there is any way to let WMP 12 NOW PLAYING screen display FLAC embedded full size album art. Thanks,

I have just tried it myself and indeed, the PlayerModeAlbumArtSelected and ShowAlbumArt settings don't seem to have any effect on the album art of FLAC files (and probably not on the album art of any of the other non-native formats either).

For the moment, I don't know why this could be happening so I'll need to investigate it further. I'll do so when I have some time and if it turns out to be something that can be easily fixed, I'll include the fix in one of the next versions of WMP Tag Plus.

Yes, I was actually planning to post a reply sometime this week. I found out that WMP won't ever display full sized album art if a DirectShow filter is used for playing the file. WMP will only display full sized album art if the current file is being played by Media Foundation (and PlayerModeAlbumArtSelected and ShowAlbumArt are set correctly, of course).

Luckily there's already a Media Foundation filter for FLAC: MFFLAC. After installing that, WMP should display full size embedded art for FLAC files.

Additional information for someone needed.
I also installed “Windows 7 FLAC Property Handler“. Now File Explorer can display FLAC tag information.
