Dynamic Range settings in MusePack Winamp plug-in?

What is the optimum setting that I should consider regarding "Dynamic Range" under the Equalizer Settings in the configurations of the MusePack plug-in for Winamp?

Oops...I should have read the "Recommended MPC settings" first.  But can someone explain to me why 6 dB is better?

And also, I have EAC set to a bit rate of 192kb/s, but set on low quality.  Is this considerably worse than what the "Recommended MPC settings" has posted?  Since they recommend 160kb/s, high quality.

The settings in EAC will have no influence if you use the external encoder (mppenc.exe).
