speed test (adding files to playlist)

i did a little speed test today: adding the directory with all my music takes about 10 times more time with 0.9RC candidate than with 0.8.3. database (0.8.3) & media library (0.9) were both configured to that directory. and 0.9 didn't even read the WMA files. (i only got a few of em though)

Yeah I too have that problem of it taking a lot longer to load the files.

is there any reason for this happeneing?

Confirmed. I have the same problem - it's more than 10 times slower.
