Which compiles and switches are best?

Which AAC encoder compiles would you guys reccommend?
And which command line switches should I use?
I found a 1.2.4 compile of an AAC encoder at Rarewares, and skimmed through it's help. Are there any other compiles out there that are worth taking a look at?

Many tanks.
Only the best is good enough.

Are there any plans for a new ~128kbps listening test? It'd be interesting to see how each encoder has progressed since last time
