Shouldn't matter if they did have your IP.
As far as you were concerned, they were offering free downloads. How are us poor netziens supposed to know if the website was defaced... especially in the case of such a believable defacement

The real question is, why is the page still up (the Afterdawn site says they took it offline).  My guess is, they either don't know or are proceeding with caution... and the reason it is/was inaccessible is "too many hits!" 

BTW, the page is available both thru riaa.org and riaa.com (I guess they point to one IP) under the same URL.  As of 8:20 PM PDT, 31 August it's still accessible.

Well I was exaggerating, it isn't that bad (yet) in the USA.  But if I had my choice (and enough money) I'd move to some small tropical island with poor (but friendly) people and live the rest of my days playing in the sun like a child...

...it seems that he lives in the southern side of the island, the arid one (even with the trees photographed)

I live in the northern side, more humid, and more populated (bigger green zones as well).

P.S.: ...and yeah, the Teide is visible from here as well, big and majestic.

If one is to apologize, it should be me, but this thread isn't likely to last for too long, as we all know everything about it:

One or more syscrackers broke the RIAA homepage and edited one to be a parody. Not much more to discuss about...
