Geezer needs some beginner help

Hola Experts: I am older than Robert Mueller, old enough to remember when Motel 6 charged $6, but I'm not a computer beginner. This morning I downloaded foobar2000 v1.4.6 and imported a folder (+ subfolders) of music. I managed to set the Playback window to show what I wanted (title, artist, duration) but what I REALLY want to do is bulk edit some of the metadata - empty artist fields, places where title and artist are swapped (!), etc. BUT, I can't figure out how to do this. If I right-click on a song, there is no "properties" choice, just choices for various UI elements, columns and groups. In the menu bar above there is no "Tools" heading. Where do I find out how to bulk edit metadata? THANKS.

I'm sure some others can provide some assistance on how to do this with foobar2000.  Although I'm a longtime foobar user, I prefer to do my metadata editing with mp3tag for its simple yet powerful tag editing capabilities (note, it handles almost any type of file, not just mp3).  You can find it here:

mp3tag also has a helpful user forum here:

You probably need to exit Layout Editing Mode to see normal menus. View -> Layout -> Enable editing mode. If you then right-click on one or a selection of several playlist items, there will be a Properties option. You can right-click data in this tabular view to copy and transfer it from one field to another. In this dialog, under Tools or right-click there are options for mass editing tag values (Autofill). Even more advanced functionality for tagging is available through the Masstagger component, equivalent to "Actions" in Mp3Tag.

THANKS a lot Gary. Just what I needed. Sounds like you two prefer Mp3tag! What I want more than anything is a simple way to mass-change things other than the file name (most of the time) = artist, album (I make my own albums), genre, etc. Anyway, THANKS.
