file explorer UI component in fb2k

I very dislike any media libraries/playlists of any kind because
1. i always listen music albumwise, track by track, in original order.
2. there is already filesystem, i already organized my albums and artists in a good manner - why should i create playlists, spend time and storage for them?
3. my music hdd is quite old, I Dont want so that some super-duper media library software scan entire filesystem for metadata, reading each file and building some libraries, neither i would like that junk data to be stored elsewhere, i alredy have my filesystem organised.
4. some files could lack metadata, so superduper media libraries fails. i dont want to edit metadata, i just have correct album-artist structure

So, task is extremely simple. I have a system where each folder is already a mini playlist itself. And there is simple solution, which i am currently using. I enabled folder context menus and made window explorer window side by side with foobar. I am selecting folders in tree view with right click and click add to playlist. Just wondering if there is some native UI plugin for browsing FS within foobar columns? (And NOT scanning entire fs and read each file metadata, just FS browser)

This is the way I do things too, never saved a playlist in my life. I just have Explorer open and drag and drop, or use the Add Files menu option.

I know you were not fond of a library, but I build one - and use the Album List viewer sorted "by folder structure". Then it looks, e.g., like in https://www.24bit96.com/hifi-music-server/foobar-4.gif - clicking the plus (or navigating with up/down, and then right arrow) expands the folder like this: https://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zB8UgWYLhhE/SOPu1-CGzdI/AAAAAAAAALs/-cVTwkzWpRo/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/foobar_byfolder.jpg

Then you can configure e.g. the Enter key for play or add to playback queue or ... (at the entire folder if so you wish).

It is not really a file system viewer, as it views only indexed (music) files. Also, if you add more than one music folder to your library, they are all "merged to a single root" - good if you ask me. You could configure a keyboard shortcut for "Open containing folder", and there you have Windows Explorer opening.
