Embed album art when converting?

Question time again, I don't know why I never thought about this before but I can't find a way to embed the album art file (.jpg in the album folder) when converting. If anyone can point to a solution... thanks again guys.

The converter can embed art if it's embedded in the source but as you have external jpg files, this is a separate step you'll have to do yourself. But you can batch attach art to a whole playlist/collection at once so it's really easy.

edit: you'll need to make sure the jpg files are copied as part of the conversion process. Check the converter dialog for that.

Yeah, I'm talking about auto embed the external files, I know about all the other ways. Let's see if someone has a script/.bat for foo_run or anything, who knows, there is always someone that figures stuff out. This is a long shot, I am not thinking of any solution.

So you're not happy with right clicking a selection of hundreds or even thousands of files, tagging>batch attach pictures, checking the filename pattern and clicking OK? Yikes.

The chances of doing anything like this with foo_run is zero. It's not going to support queuing of multiple items like foobar does. Trying to process more than a few files simultaneously is not going to end well. Then there is the small matter of finding something that supports all the different file formats that foobar already has support for. Good luck with that.

When you convert, the albumart file doesn't go over in the new folder, you have to batch attach before you convert. What I am asking is to do it while it's converting or at conversion done. Let me do more tests trying to copy just the albumart file/s after all the conversion is done, then batch attach them.

Got it, but transfer attached pictures will only transfer the...

Wow, "Copy other files to the destination folder", I didn't remember about that and skipped again while I was checking right 2 mins ago. That will do it, let's close here, all done. This foobar2000 is something, it's really thoughtful on every aspect.

Thanks.

Here again, one small issue, example:

-Bob Marley & The Wailers
--Compilation
---2005 - Gold (Compilation)
----D1
----D2
----600x600.jpg
----800x800.jpg
----1000x1000.jpg
----1500x1500.jpg

If I select "2005 - Gold (Compilation)" the 600x600.jpg will get copied since the setting is "600*.jpg" in the "Copy other files" setting box but if I select D1 it obviously doesn't, "..\600*.jpg" doesn't work from there, is there I was I can copy a level up's album art?

Thanks.

Nope. I guess you'd need to ask for that to be added.

Currently, you'd have to get rid of the D1/D2 folders and have all files in the same folder as the images (or duplicate the image files inside each D* folder)

Of course you can choose to copy the directory naming structure upon conversion, and then run a file-copy job that omits *.flac ...
