Foobar2000 being detected as ransomware on Bitdefender Total Security 2017

On Windows 10 64-bit, i have Bitdefender Total Security 2017. When i tried to open foobar2000 in portabke mode, the antivirus stops it from opening and give a ransomware warning. What can i do to fix this? Thanks

So, it's just a mistake? there is nothing actually wrong with foobar2000?

If your foobar2000 is downloaded from the official homepage it definitely doesn't contain ransomware. I uploaded the latest version v1.3.15 to Virustotal and their Bitdefender databases don't trigger any warnings. So either you have a different version or something else is going on.

I'm sure you can submit a sample to be analyzed by Bitdefender researchers and they will reply to you if it's a legitimate issue or a false positive.

I reinstalled the latest version of foobar2000 on foobar2000.org, along with foo_input_spotify and WASAPI output in standard mode and it seems to be fixed. It wouldn't open in portable mode though.
