MIDI Decoder Conversion Volume

I'm converting MIDI files into FLAC, but the volume of the converted output is so high it's causing clipping on nearly all of the songs. I looked all over the MIDI plugin for volume control, but I couldn't find anything and the conversion process isn't affected by the master volume. Is there a way to decrease the over-all volume during the conversion process? I know I can use the equalizer DSP and just drop all the levels, will this be applied after the clipping and yield an inferior sound? Is there an easier way?

Thanks! :-D

Or you could utilize the existing metadata database, by ReplayGain scanning your MIDI files with the settings presets you wish to use when converting them, then apply the gain when converting.
