Has Apple fixed iTunes album art bug?

One of the things that always annoyed me about iTunes was how it would often associate the wrong album art with some tracks after importing music to the iPod. Early versions of iTunes had a very easy way of rebuilding the album art cache. Unfortunately, it was removed in version 9 (I think). Since then, the only way to fix the problem was to delete the album from the iPod and transfer it back. This was the primary reason I started using foo_dop. However, as the component is no longer updated, I think I may go back to using iTunes. Has the issue concerning album art been resolved?

I used to have this problem occasionally but it's been at least a year or two since I've seen it.

(For what it's worth, it stopped for me when I made sure never to have MediaMonkey open with an iOS device connected. I didn't experiment enough to say that's what actually caused it, though. I never used MM to actually transfer content, just for tagging, and have since switched over to MP3tag.)
