[Request] Android syncing app

So far there's absolutely no option for android users to sync with foobar (short of, of course, import playlists from foobar to another media player, like winamp or itunes and importing from those to android). Since I have no coding skills I must ask, is somebody interested in developing such plugin? I could act as a beta tester (if that helps).

An interesting information related to that: In the past someone did a plugin foo-androidsync (link to google code). It had the perfect ideals, simple and quick sync playlists. Problem is, it seems that with updates google broke the plugin (I never actually used it, but it seems that google changed the way the computer recognizes devices, in the past it used to assign a drive letter while nowadays it doesn't).

You're requesting a MTP sync component.  Good luck with that, no one's bothered in the past decade.

Hmm, I didn't know it was called a MTP sync component, neither did I know it was for some reason harder than the default. Regardless, I really don't think it would be a problem (for the app design) if it was engineered in a different way. For instance (I apologize in advance for the lack of technical terms) it could set up a (I believe) local server the same way AirDroid does, and sync files this way. Of course it wouldn't be as fast as an USB, but I don't think most people would complain since it would still be pretty fast.

There are at least two ways to implement sync:

adb from the android sdk is a command line utility that lets you read from and write to an android phone

calibre, an ebook program, is a python open source program and includes the ability to sync over MTP.  The python code is rather complex.
