foo_midi: exporting a looping MIDI to MP3

Hi! I hope i’m posting this in the right spot, let me know otherwise
First off I’d like to say I am really not familiar with foobar2000 yet. I followed a guide for ripping MIDIs and soundfonts from GBA roms. I’m using Foobar2000 to play the MIDIs so I can pick the tracks I want, and then convert them into MP3 files for easier listening. My knowledge here is very very limited and I’m in no way audio tech savvy so please forgive me. I’d really appreciate the help so I can learn, I apologize if I’m asking a really obvious question =)

The tracks I ripped will play for a short duration, and then fade out, but if I allow looping, the song will play forever, like it would in a video game, which is exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t actually specify where the loop begins and ends but when I allowed looping I selected “Always” instead of “When Loop Info Detected” and it somehow worked.

I want it so I can extend the tracks for as long as I want, since the samples that loop are all pretty short. When I export the MIDI to an MP3 though, it only exports that one short sample, and it doesn’t loop. I was wondering if there was a way to specify the duration or number of loops you want translated into an MP3 file. For example, if I have a 30 second MIDI that loops, I might want an MP3 of it that plays for at least 3 minutes or something like that. I’m sure I could be wording this better, but I can provide more information if needed! Thank you for reading =)
