DTS Sound is Now Available on Windows 10 20H1

In late January 2019, Microsoft soon promised support for DTS: X in Windows 10 and Xbox One. It looks like this feature is now available in Windows 10, at least for users registered with the Windows Insider program.

The DTS Sound Unbound application , which allows users to try the DTS: X sound effects, is now available for download on computers running Windows 10 20H1. It is worth noting that you cannot install the application in the Windows 10 May 2019 Update or in an earlier version, but Microsoft says that this feature will be available to everyone when it becomes more stable.

In a July 14 tweet, Microsoft Sound Engineer Stephen Wilsens confirmed that DTS Sound Unbound integration is only available to Windows insiders.

In turn, the representative of DTS Inc noted that they are working closely with Microsoft, and soon the changes will be presented to the public. DTS promises to provide different sample rates and offer "truly immersive sound."

How do these even work? Do they work with any programs, or do they have to be special ones that offer support? For example, I've never been able to have Dolby Atmos for Headphones work even though I have the paid version, for 5.1 movies and videos on video players like VLC, MPC-HC or the Netflix app. In fact I can't even tell if it's on on the very samples Dolby provides in the app.

I have also tried Dolby Atmos for Headphones with HeSuVi It's a markedly step down from Dolby Headphone too, virtualization is almost non existent in comparison, but at least I can tell the difference and that it's working.

I know they're gaming headphones. They tend focus upper sounds or neutral sounding.

Oh, the actual headphones. I thought you meant the software filters. I have Sennheiser headphones, specifically the HDR 180 set.
