High bitrate songs only play static

I need help being able to play higher bitrate songs. I can play all of my files on my old computer and cellphone. I transferred them to my new computer. They will all play in Groove and Windows Media Player. But not in Foobar if they are over 1600 kbps, (all lower kbps play fine) I cannot figure out any other variable in looking through my music library, and I did not see any other posts like this, I apologize if I missed them. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I assume you're talking about lossless files, but of what format?  FLAC/WAV/APE/etc??  At what bit depth and sample rate?  What version of Foobar, and what are your settings in Playback-->Output?

The songs only producing static are all WMA lossless (there are many that are playing fine that are also in this format)
The ones producing static are all 24 bit, all the ones that play properly are 16 bit so this may be an indicator.
Sample rate varies from 44100hz, 88200hz and 96000hz on the files produsing static. All good files are only 41000hz.
Foobar 1.4.2, I will look into the Playback - Output in just a minute as I am unsure at this time.

Playback output is primary sound driver.

I downloaded fre:ac and converted to FLAC, this corrected all issues. It was simply that windows 10 could not read WMA 24 bit. Thanks  again for your help in the matter, much appreciated!

Thanks for posting back and telling us what worked for you.  Though I'm sure foo_input_ffmpeg would have let you play the originals, I think you made the right choice converting to a much more "friendly" lossless format like FLAC.
