Title: .cue/.bin nothing but noise
Post by: Biff on 2006-12-11 19:16:10
I want to convert a handful of albums that were given to me in the bin/cue format.  I tried several different approaches including wavpack, nero 6 and dbPoweramp, but always come up with white noise (like a data disc).  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

You are probably dealing with an endianness (byte order) issue.

I don't know how difficult it is to install sox (http://sox.sourceforge.net/) on a Windows machine but you can just run
Code: [Select]
sox -t cdr data.bin CDImage.wav

Have you tried loading the cue as a CD in Daemon Tools?

There's a Windows build too: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ackage_id=10619 (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10706&package_id=10619)

You may have been given DTS CDs--which require a DTS decoder for audio playback.
