Title: foo_uie_tabs
Post by: Phi on 2004-10-23 15:26:52
This is something I've been working on. It's not finished, but I have exams to study for.

Plugin (http://yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au/~kspear/foobar/foo_uie_tabs.dll)
Source code (http://yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au/~kspear/foobar/foo_uie_tabs-src.zip)
Screenshot (http://yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au/~kspear/foobar/screenshot.png)

Also requires foo_ui_columns (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=28647&view=findpost&p=89754)  v0.1.2 beta 4 or greater.

After you've copied the plugin to your foobar components directory, right click in the foo_ui_columns sidebar and select General->"Tabbed panel stack". Then right click on the empty window and use the "Add tab" sub-menu to add whichever extensions you like.

You can also make the tabs appear at the bottom of the window through the "Tab-bar  position" sub-menu (right click on a tab to find that). However, Windows XP with themes enabled has issues with using a tab control in tabs-on-the-bottom mode. But it's not my fault, I promise

. Wow, thats a great idea. Maybe you could change the name from "Tabs" to something like "Panel Stack"?

It caused me one weird problem though. If the tabs is in the sidebar on foobar startup, it causes no mouse button down/up/conext menu messages to be recieved anywhere in the main window except the sidebar. The problem goes away when your panel is removed from the sidebar, it does not happen if your ppanel is added to the sidebar after foobar starts.

I'm not sure if its your fault, I don't have time to look into it anymore than that.

Quote
I'll fix this as soon as I figure out a way to detect clicks in an empty tab window(?).
I think they are sent to the parent window.

I have a little problem with this plugin.
It work fine the first time i enabled but after close foobar and run it again I´m unable to click in any place.

I´m doing something wrong...?

And another question...

How I can get the extend search in the sidebar?

Strange, am I the only one who has no problems with this plugin?
Now if only we could figure out a nicer way than tabs, as they are too large for my somewhat minimal taste  Anyhow, I'm glad there's the autohide option for the sidebar

That's weird, I'm not getting any window messages at all (in the tab control or the parent) when there are no tabs. Probably related to the above problem.

Hrmm... that doesn't sound good. I'll see what I can do.

 • The component crashes at start-up when a previously added ui_extension is no longer available.

 • If the component does not crash at start-up (i.e. all added ui_extensions are present), I get the same behaviour as described already by Cenobita. The left mouse button is essentially disabled, and the main window titlebar has the "inactive window" appearance. I've tested this with a minimal set of components to verify that it really is foo_uie_tabs that causes this.

No problem, thanks for testing. What OS are you on?

Quote
edit: I got an idea! What about having (optionally, of course) those tabs as something like the column headers are? That way it would look much more sleek imho

I could eventually draw the tabs myself to make them look a little nicer (or more minimal or whatever). They do look a quite large on your set-up.

I second this idea .... It would enable to switch easily between your multiple views of the albumlist without waiting for the refresh, a nice feature in my opinion.

I just ran into a problem. I had foo_temple as a tab, but because of a problem with foo_temple that causes it to revert to a dialog/window on first restart (see this post (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=12124&view=findpost&p=249551)), every remaining tab in  foo_uie_tabs stopped working after restart. All that showed up when I right clicked inside album list or history was "foo_temple configuration".

Edit: Forgot to thank you for this promising plugin. I like the way it makes the interface tidier, and that each panel gets a larger visible area when viewed. Looking forward to future versions.

Hello,

Instead of tabs could you make an option to use a dropdown list instead? like "playback order".

And why isnt it possible to add volume, seekbar and button panels?

cheers

Cool, another minor bug is that when you have a single tab, you can still move it right (which then causes problems)

I think janjan is still working on that extension. But I'll see if I can improve the error checking in uie_tabs to make sure a "rogue" extension can't interfere with the other tabs.

It was more of a concept thing, and was only ever released in source code. I suggest you wait until panel support is added to the database search plugin.

Oops.

Edit: Oh and ep0ch, I forgot to say, the current version doesn't let you add toolbars (seekbar/buttons etc), but I only excluded them because I didn't think they were all that useful inside a tab. I'll re-enable them in an upcoming version.

The plugin supports as many instances as you like (an earlier version even allowed tabs within tabs, but I didn't really see the point of that), but columns won't let you add more than one to the sidebar at a time.

Actually, I lie, I added a "fix" that broke multiple instances in the latest update. No matter, I've fixed that for the next version.

Hi there!

I just found a little redraw bug - although I don't know if it's a bug from the sidepanel itself or the database explorer (in the ColumnsUI thread musicmusic told me it is a foo_uie_tabs bug, so I'm posting it here now). Look at this screenshot I made -> HERE (http://www.nordinary.com/panelbug.gif)

This happens when I drag the scrollbar up / down and a hint pops up that covers the database explorer entry which is not completely visible at the time. When I drag further up / down the hint disppears but leaves this grey box instead of the entry title... weird.

My current FCS configuration -> HERE (http://www.nordinary.com/foo_uicolumns_export.fcs)

Using foobar 0.8.3 / ColumnsUI 0.1.2 (Beta 2) / foo_uie_tabs

I've just uploaded that bugfixed version.  Multiple instances should work better now also.

Oh, and you can add toolbars as tabs now too.

PS. In case you missed the post, it turns out I was wrong about not being able to add multiple instances of an extension to the foo_uie_columns sidebar:
Quote
I mentioned it somewhere, when adding a panel from the context menu, click toggles the panel, shift-click adds a new instance of the panel, ctrl click toggles the panel, but inserts when it would rather have added, and shift+ctrl+click inserts inserts a new instance of the panel.

The tabbed panel is supposed to be added to the sidebar (in the same place as your playlist list). You'll need to enable sidebar captions to be able to add it, so go in to preferences->columns ui and click on "reset sidebar". Then right click on the sidebar (it should be a blank grey area now), and select General->"Tabbed panel stack".

Sorry to go off topic (moderator please feel free to move/split this).

1) Create a 'fake' album list or database explorer panel like this (or put it where you want: sidebar, ....):
[a href="http://www.mokava.org/temp/Fotos/jkwarrasfakecover.png]http://www.mokava.org/temp/Fotos/jkwarrasfakecover.png
2) Use the SeeThroughCover (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=20187) look (foo_look) and put it on top of this 'fake' panel. You're done.

Until we have a coverart panel, this is a the only workaround I've found

Thanks. Are you sure you're changing the options in preferences->"Album list panel" rather than the ones in "Album list"? The album list panel and the regular window are two separate components, so you have to set the options for each separately.

How do you get the panels to be so big when you add them to the toolbar (where you have the album list and database explorer panels). When I add them they are always just one character high

I don't know, I was using the previous version of foo_ui_tabs and also noticed that the height was higher than one character high. Strange, because with the current version this happens again (I mean, right now the height is always one character high).

For the album list panel you can select a minimum height under preferences.

Before the previous update I was experimenting with minimum heights, and some of that code found its way into the dll I uploaded. I never meant to release it like that, and you must have been quick, because I'm pretty sure I removed it and uploaded again only a few mins later.

since the tree in my album list panel is getting longer and longer, and thus it is quite difficult to browse it effectively and comfortably, it just occured to me that it would be really useful to have a search field under (or above ) the album list panel, called, let's say "search in album list". i can imagine the album tree shrinking in real time, as i type my query.

do you think it is possible to implement such a feature? would you find it useful?

PS.
oh, you could even have three search fields:
-find in artist
-find in album
-find in song title
and use the one that suits you best

You should request it to an appropiate developper (not here at foo_uie_tabs)

OT: I requested this [a href="http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=26475&hl=foo_playlistfind#]sometime ago, something similar to foo_playlistfind but for albumlist, but Phi said that this should be implemented in the panel itself (in the albumlist panel).

Same happens here.

I tried resetting sidebar and adding some tabs (Playlist switcher, Album list and History) then restarted it, there was only an album list tab left.
After some testing, it seems it can only remember Album list panel and Visualisation panel, the other panels are gone after restart on my system.

Nah, after a closer look, it appears they can't really make up their mind. Some seems to be left aligned, and some centered.

I use width=4 and height=3 to make it as small as possible, but when I increase width to e.g. 30, all looks close to centered.

But, this is not a major problem at all. I'll probably leave it as is, or maybe add some padding before the name if I feel really pedantic.

We have a couple of new, great panels, foo_uie_trackinfo and foo_uie_albumart, that can be added as tabs. Some users in the foo_uie_trackinfo thread have requested that a cover art display option be added to that panel. However, Phi has said he doesn't have plans to add that feature at the moment. That got me thinking.    Is it feasible that somehow foo_uie_tabs could be made so that it is possible to load more than one panel in a single tab? Then both foo_uie_trackinfo and foo_uie_albumart could be displayed in a single tab. Another example: I have an album list view that displays tracks by date and an album list view that displays tracks by decade. It would be cool if I could load both of them into a single tab rather than having a separate tab for each view.

Thanks!

Rob

I like rocketsauce's "shared tab" idea.

I personally like to split the sidebar in two and have the playlist switcher in the upper part, and this pluing in the lower. That gives enough vertical space for tabs like "album list", but at the same time alot more than needed for others. Sharing between "track info" and "albumart" would be the most important usage though.

Well, this can be done without uie_tabs' help. Someone just needs to follow the design concept of this plugin, and make a ui extension that doubles as an extension host. Then the "split" host extension could be added as a tab.

That would be pretty cool, since if uie_tabs was the only extension in the sidebar, it would be like having 4 separately configured sidebars on top of each other.

Hi,
I'm using a windowblinds skin named "Doublet" to skin my windows. In foobar I'm using the columns UI formatting string [a href="http://foobar.nub4life.net/columns/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=40]"Fusion" of which I have edited the colors and some other things.  For the trackinfo panel I'm using a modified version of the string posted by Free in the foo_uie_trackinfo (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29363) thread. Using the columns UI setting to show all toolbars, I have added panel stacks to the toolbar which I have given a minimum height so they'll display right. To actually have multiple panel stacks I have compiled 2 more panel stack DLL's with modified source so they have different GUID's. It's a bit of a hack but I don't have a lot of programming skill (yet anyway ).

You can actually load multiple instances of a panel by either :
- holding the "Shift" key when selecting the panel to add it as a "primary" panel
- just selecting the panel from within a tabbed one

However not all panels behave equally. I have performed a quick test with results below :

Case 1 Some work well :
- Tabbed panels
- Playlist switcher
- Album list
- History

Case 2 Some allow only one instance (the former instance will disappear) :
- Track info
- Enqueue list

Case 3 Some will crash foobar :
- Album Art

Maybe the developpers could align themselves on Case 1, which is obviously the most polite behavior.

As musicmusic mentioned in another thread, allowing multiple instances doesn't make sense for all ui extensions. Granted, having more than one track info instance would be useful, and will probably be implemented eventually.

As for foo_uie_albumart, my inside build already fixes the crash (I'll release it soon when I have time to change some other things in it). I think I'll be enabling multiple instances for the next version, actually. I feel embarrassed to be the only one in group number 3, so I'll try to make up for it by putting it directly in group number 1 with the next version .

could you please consider to change the font settings from MS Sans Serif to Tahoma or better, the current default font for dialog window elements? The following screenshot taken from the first page should illustrate what I mean, just compare the font of the panel tabs with the font of the playlist tabs.

Hello,

If I have a tab that contains a Vis plugin I get the impression that the Vis plugin is working away in the background regardless of whether its tab is selected or not?

Is it possible for an option to disable the Vis doing processing if its tab is not selected? I might be wrong on my conclusion though of course

Cheers

That would have to be implemented in the vis plugin, not in foo_uie_tabs.

Updated (http://yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au/~kspear/foobar/foo_uie_tabs.dll).

Changes:EDIT: ignore below...
Note: in line with the new api, this plugin goes in the "Layout" category, and by the looks of it ui_columns removes the sidebar caption for this category of ui extensions. There's no need to bombard me with bug reports about it.

I think you should still be setting it as a panel as well in your case. I.e. ui_extension_flag::TYPE_PANEL|ui_extension_flag::TYPE_LAYOUT.  Which should make it show the caption by default. I don't know yet if showing the caption for all layout extensions would be the right thing to do yet.

Ah, I didn't realise you were expecting those to be combined. I've updated the plugin. I don't know what else you have in mind for layout extensions, but sidebar-wise I would leave the caption there consistently, since people can easily hide it if they don't want to see it.

I have WXP Home sp2
Foobar 0.8.3 latest special install + openwith0.4 + massdelete1.7
columns ui 0.1.2rc1
Tabbed panels 0.1.6
All of the latest versions of the panels that are listed in the first post in the columns ui thread

I can put up an instance of the panel stack, but if I add anything to it (i.e. playlist switcher), big parts of the gui hang every time.  I.e. the sidebar won't auto-appear, the seekbar and the visualization don't update, keyboard events are missed.  But oddly, I can still update the track position with the seekbar, it just won't move on it's own.  Also, the gui won't shut down cleanly.

I don't know if this is the fault of panel stack or columns ui.

I'm have almost the same setup but I can't reproduce this at all. Do you have any other panels in the sidebar apart from the panel stack? If so, a description/screenshot of your config would be nice. If not, I have no idea.

I did a fresh install to see if I could get the bug to go away.  It looked promising at first, but later on the bug showed up.

Here are the steps I took, as exactly as I can remember them.
Installation
1)Downloaded latest special
2)Did full setup except user-specific settings
3)Associated every possible file type
4)Copied foo_ui_columns (0.1.2rc1) to the components dir.
5)Copied foo_uie_tabs (0.1.6)

First test
6) Added a panel stack to the sidebar
7) Removed the playlist switcher from the sidebar
8) Added a playlist switcher to the panel stack
9) Added the vis to the sidebar (not to the stack)
(everything seemed to work so far)

Customization
10) Enabled database
11) Added some playlists
12) Disabled console/beep on errors and console/popup on warnings
13) Loaded the columns config I like: jons.fcs.  I can upload this if you want to examine it.  Very simple minimalist look.
14) Removed some of the playlists
15) turned off stop playing on errors
16) turned on start playing on start
17) turned on resume playing on start
18) Change keyboard mappings:
a)deleted any of the ones which were on the ZXCVB line, I cant remember the ones foobar starts with.  I only deleted the ones that had no key modifiers, I left those alone.
b) Mapped z to previous in history
c) Mapped x to play
d) Mapped c to play/pause
e) Mapped v to stop
f) Mapped b to next or random
g) Mapped Ctl + ` globally to next or random
h) Mapped Alt + ` globally to play or pause
i) Mapped Shift + Ctl + ` globally to next playlist
j) Mapped Shift + Alt + ` globally to track cut
k) Mapped j to playlist search

19) Then I simply removed the vis from the sidebar to freeze the app

Now, it's back to its old behavior of freezing when I add things to a panel stack.

I'll put some stuff up on www.geocities.com/popatr/hapost.html (http://www.geocities.com/popatr/hapost.html) in a little while.

Thanks for the in-depth reply.    I see it on my own setup now as well.

It only happens when you set the sidebar auto-hide delay very low. Even setting it to 1ms avoids the bug for me. I still haven't figured out what's triggering it though.

I have added panel stacks to the toolbar which I have given a minimum height so they'll display right. Can a "hide tabs" option be added?  I've seen some configs that have multiple panel stacks, some of which only have one tab open.  A single tab is ugly and takes up room.  Any way to get rid of it?
Title: foo_uie_tabs
Post by: Phi on 2005-01-28 01:40:05
Stop using foo_uie_tabs?

I don't think it's really necessary. Most of the configs you see are using it to enforce a minimum height, which is why there is only a single extension in there. Eventually (I think), a minimum height won't be required for the ui_columns toolbar (or whatever it becomes) so this won't be an issue.

I'd like that too. It shouldn't be hard at all... and maybe it could be made more flexible, like perhaps the font could be red on errors, or you could customize the whole thing to your own taste. It's up to the taste of whoever the developer will be...

Maybe I could make it, but I'd have to learn how to code a plugin first, cause I don't know shit. But I want to.

Phi, are you going to be adding new features in future? Having a dropdown list instead of tabs would be cool... (well atleast for me it would).
Title: foo_uie_tabs

@Phi:
This has been requested earlier, but I'm just wondering how likely you think it is, that this plugin, at some point in the future, will support multiple tollbars/panels/vis in a single tab? Both from a technical point of view, and your motivation for implemeting it.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Btw: Looking forward to the new version of Track Info.
Title: foo_uie_tabs
Post by: Phi on 2005-02-07 11:52:56
Yeah, I think I mentioned earlier that this feature wouldn't be dependent on foo_uie_tabs, so it would be a separate plugin if it got implemented (and probably not by me).

I'm interested to see what musicmusic has in mind for the new version of columns, because I'd imagine you'd need something like this to arrange a freeform UI anyway.

Just to clarify : I'm talking about the idea of a generic horizontal or vertical "splitter" extension that would effectively turn one ui extension "slot" into two.

Do you mean display all the tabs in a single row that scrolls across? Or add a horizontal scroll bar to a panel contained in foo_uie_tabs?

You can't do either, but I can add easily add the first feature. The second point isn't possible though.
Title: foo_uie_tabs

Not sure if this has been requested, but my suggestion is to have a checkbox in preferences that says "show tabs" (or something similar), so that when it is unchecked, you just see the plain panel.

PS. now that I'm writing: can we expect trackinfo to run with multiple instances in the near future?

Feature request...
...is it possible to implement something kind of "bring to front" option?  I have trackinfo and albumlist as tabs in the same panel, and I usually want trackinfo to be displayed, but sometimes when I'm using albumlist I forget to switch over.  If the trackinfo tab could be brought to the front, say, when a new track starts or I press a hotkey, that would be great.

I could add some kind of autoswitch to foo_uie_trackinfo.
I'm having a break from coding for a while though.

[a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=280344"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a]

Placing Panels Above the Playlist

To place panels above the playlist, check "List all toolbars" in the "Other" tab of the Columns UI preferences. When checked, right-clicking on the toolbar will give you the option of placing panels on the toolbar. If a panel appears "squashed," it is because it needs to have a minimum height set in its preferences. If the panel extension has no minimum height setting, you may place it in a panel stack (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=28869), and set a minimum height via the panel stack options.

How large number should i input the minimum heigth?

1 or greater?

whatever i input , i can't see any different in the toobar

@karpath: perhaps you should ask the user who posted that.  Just looking at it, though, it seems he/she made a dummy tab and renamed it "G-Force", then took the G-Force window and placed it over the dummy tab.  Notice how the right and bottom edges don't quite line up.

PS: I'm not familiar with the G-Force component, so I don't even know that it is a window which you could move around.  I'm just guessing here.

You can move the vizu. window somewhere and than you have to edit the preferences of g-force.
(Here:C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Birk\G-Force\Preferences (foobar2000).txt)
There you have to change "NoBo=0" to "NoBo=1"

New version up (0.1.9 (http://yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au/~kspear/foobar/foo_uie_tabs.dll)).

Fixes that context menu bug (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=34584&view=findpost&p=308478) and possibly the enter key bug (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=34207&view=findpost&p=303603).

This has been requested earlier, but I'm just wondering how likely you think it is, that this plugin, at some point in the future, will support multiple tollbars/panels/vis in a single tab? Both from a technical point of view, and your motivation for implemeting it.

Request seconded ... erm thirded
Album art & track info on the same tab would be really nice.

There are no beta plugins aside from those who are developed by the foobar team. Wait for the final 0.9 and the release of the SDK and then im sure either the original author or someone else will port it to the new SDK :]

I found another problem:
I defined a key shortcut:
  F1 (or another) :[main] components/Columns UI/Enabled sidebar

Before using foo_uie_tabs, the key shortcut works very well.

When Tabs is enabled, I have some problem hiding the sidebar.
I press F1 when sidebar is not visibled. Then it shows.
Press F1 again, the sidebar doesn't hide.

I found it is the FOCUS problem.
After showing the sidebar, I click at the playlist to make it got focus. Then the key shortcut works.

Thanks for the reply.

According to the Column UI changlog,
Column UI plugin had the problem and has been fixed.

As I cannot install MSVC6(I don't know why), I can't edit or compile your source.
I hope you can fix the problem soon.

I had use Show hidebar but I found it just hide the sidebar but not close or destroy the windows.
However, Enable sidebar can close the window.
Some plugins, such as Lyric Show Panel, uses a timer control which is always active until the windows is not existed.
So I want to close the windows rather than just hide them. I do not care the speed.
That is why I use Enable sidebar.

By the way, you mentioned the bug. What is it?

Only thing I think is a bit weird, is that he didnt take the time to post anything about the progress while a lot of fans are waiting

Well i'm glad to hear he's still on this board but indeed, I agree that we should stop whining and let the man (woman?  ) be

Cheers

Hmh, soon we can sell this thread to Fox or HBO and they can make a new soap opera out of it.

If nothing is available within a couple of weeks, I may take a look at it. Considering that I am almost graduating with a CS degree, I better be able to do it  But in the mean time, my time is resevered for sleeping, eating, goofing off, and failing school.

I also downloaded the source code, but probably won't even be looking at it, since it's been a year since I did any C or Cplusplus.

On a side note, Phi must be done his exams by now... Odd that he shows no sign of life. Maybe he forgot.

Give him some breathing space guys.. He said he'll do it, Lets trust his words and wait ;]

We have enough skilled coders around that would do it in case he decides he cant spare the time for it.

That's exactly the point. Can any of these skilled coders just go ahead and port it? I'm sure it won't take too long. It would make so many people happy. Jeez, Phi said on March 24th he'll be porting it over the next week or so, so everyone is just patiently waiting. It's been more than a month now. However, there's no update about the progress if there's any, absolutely nothing. People don't have a clue about what's going on. Everyone is only bitching about "useless" bumping, although people are just trying to draw someone's attention. If Phi is too busy that's fine, just let people know. It could've been ported hundred times already by someone else. Ain't I right?

Do you really think it is a due for the FREETIME developers to advise you when they dont have time to go on port plugins to v0.9? If that is the case your really are a foul. Sometimes i really wonder how old can be people who think such thing!

It could have been ported hundred times? Yeah, by people just like you who says again and again 'someone does it or i will do it!"
Leave those great guy who use there free time to participate to the great community of foobar. And if you re still not happy, use WMP!!!

Sadly, elishnevsky, Your kind of responses and thinking is exactly what takes the motivation out of developers like Phi.

Hell, I could probably try and port it myself, And G-Lite already ported several panels himself, So he can do it aswell.
The point is, This is Phi's work, And if he says he will take care of it, I dont think anyone else should.
It's HIS work. I have enough respect for him to wait until he makes further annoucements, one way or another.

So should you.

If your life is that diminished by the lack of tabs, maybe you should go back to v0.8.3...

I cry because I pitty you people crying about tabs, foobar 0.9.1 works awesome well even without tabs, musicmusic has done wonders with columns ui and almost every other component is updated.

remember foobar plays music, foobar currently plays music,

anything extra is just a bonus, what would be worth considering though is perhaps an intergration in columns ui as logically that would make the most sense... seeing as musicmusic already has tabs but for playlists, surely it wouldn't be that much more difficult tom implement.?

If i was in Phi's place, i would let you cry and never released an updated version

If i was an admin, i would have closed this thread weeks ago...

If that is the case your really are a foul.

In my post I didn't offend anyone. And you have absolutely NO right to openly call me a foul. I'm expecting an apology.

Your argument is very logical and makes complete sence. I was not aware of the fact that this is Phi's plugin. Thank you for pointing out. And I also apologize if my previous post seemed too emotional

With the new awesome power of foo_ui_columns, I have no need for foo_uie_tabs anymore, and probably wouldn't use it if it was ported over.

I wont apology to people like who think that everything is due to them. Before posting, think just a little about what you write. As am i currently thinking about what i am writing i am gonna apology for one thing. I apology for the fact that you are the one taking the blame from me. Let me explain
I am a quite long time foobar user, and i never really participated to the community by developping some.
But now that i work (i am a full time developer) i really would like to help a little. Even more because there are things that i specificly want and which i dont want to bother developers with.
My point is that i am tired of seeing people like you who keep complaining about GOOD people work. If i decide to start develop plugins i wont be able to do it very often(especially because at work i am under linux:p) and i dont want those kind of posts like 'Where is he?' "what is he doing?" "I could at least give a sign!" and even worse.
Sorry but i think your post was one of the really bad ones.
If you want i apologise but please stop saying things like the one you posted and show a little more respect for those GREAT people

Alright, this whole issue is seriously getting boring and childish now. I'll close this thread until any further development takes place with this thing.

@Phi:

Thank you for all the work you have put into this plugin so far. In case you happen to port foo_ui_tabs over to 0.9 please simply just start a new thread about it. In case you really want this thread reopened please contact one of the mods in a PM.

Hope to see you around here when you find the time again to do so. Seems you have created quite apopular component here.
