I am new to EAC and have used the Hydrogenaudio configuration guide (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=EAC_configuration) to run through setting up the software. I am using EAC V1.0 beta 2 and LAME v3.98.3 for compression.
The only part I am stuck on is the "Additional Command Line Options" in the Compression Tab of the software. The config guide lost me here! I would like to rip MP3s at 256-bit VBR (what I understand to be best quality???) and really don't know what to input on this line.
Any guidance would be appreciated - I just want to rip at what is considered to be the best quality MP3.

1) LAME 3.98.3 is buggy and can create invalid MP3 files. Use latest version (3.98.4)
2) http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=EAC_and_Lame (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=EAC_and_Lame)
For best VBR quality, use "-V0 %s %d"
Thank you for the reply. I have downloaded 3.98.4 but it is in a ZIP file. After unzipping, I do not see a .exe file to direct EAC to. In the past, I always downloaded the .exe file from the "LAME for Audacity" website because it has the .exe in the ZIP. Any suggestions there?
