I have a bunch of .rm files I need to convert to .mp3. I have dbpoweramp but have not found a way to do it since it will not find the .rm files. I installed the plugins listed for dbpoweramp to decode .rm files but it still will not find them.
Advice?
I don't think Real Media component for dBpoweramp includes the actual Real Media codecs that are needed. Do you have Real Player or RealAlternative installed?
Are you already familiar with dBpoweramp and can convert other formats without problems?
Have you tried FFmpeg?
Try Format Factory: http://www.formatoz.com/ (http://www.formatoz.com/)
I use this primarily for video files, but it works great on audio too.

Does that do batch conversion?

Does that do batch conversion?
Absolutely. And it includes all necessary codecs. And it will try to preserve tags when converting.
