Title: Checking "Overread into Lead-in and Lead-out" for drive
Post by: Rain on 2010-01-31 20:56:48
I have a "ATAPI iHAS124 A BL0A" drive as reported by EAC. Its read sample offset correction is +6 in EAC, I have AccurateRip configured. I have tried using the "Detect read sample offset correction" to see if my drive can overread but none of my CDs are recognized.

But I am unsure if I should check the "Overread into Lead-In and Lead-Out" option, I have searched on http://www.daefeatures.co.uk/ (http://www.daefeatures.co.uk/) but it does not have information on the drive I use. However it did come up with one drive that is also ATAPI and has the same +6 read offset, which can overread. Would it be safe to assume my drive is also the same?

It shouldn't matter if your disc is recognized.  EAC will still give you information about overreading.
