Title: My Columns UI config · FooSune
Post by: sune on 2008-08-12 06:46:30
New version on August 16th. This is FooSune v.1.2

Change log (v.1.2):

- Replaced album art image by an Artwork view panel that has more features and supports embedded images
- Changed artwork path in ElPlaylist. (now no one should have porblems with artwork not displaying, and images should not get cut off)
- Added a playlist switcher, on the left side panel
- Added a playlist dropdown that you can use instead of the playlist tabs. You can now switch between them, or use neither
- Fixed "open directory" button
- Fixed issue with group headers not showing when there is only one track inside the group.
- Changed the "sort by fields" button back to the regular "sort by" dialogue.

Otherwise, keep reading just a little bit.

LYRICS

Now, I'm pretty obsessive about lyrics, and I haven't found a component/program with an extensive enough database. So I combine minilyrics, with songmeanings.net (which has the most lyrics, I think) But I got tired of going to the site, searching for the song, creating the text file, naming it, etc... so I automated the process, to some point. This is what these 4 buttons are for. If you have a Lyrics-OCD like me, you might like how I do it, so I'll explain:

It's called amok. It's on deviantart, but I don't think I got it there, cause that one has an inner white border around the window that mine doesn't... Maybe a different version. I can't remember where I downloaded the one I use

Thanx Sune, and again great work, i like it

just a remark/request, could you change the path needed for images cause as many users of foobar, i switch often configs and it would be practice if path could be :

~foobar-directory~/images/fooSune/

and not

~foobar-directory~/images/

i think it is more clear for everyone.

What do you think about ?

~foobar-directory~/images/fooSune/

and not

~foobar-directory~/images/

i think it is more clear for everyone.

What do you think about ?

Shorten up the quote, that would be a great idea, Sune if you get the chance, i renamed everything, /images2
took a while lol, nice config though.
*The open directory button seems broke, at least it does NOT work for me.

just a question why you don't use the filter of Column_ui instead of foo_browser ?

This one is AWESOME! But I second the two recommendations above.. A seperate image-directory would be great and just using the Filter-function of columnsUI would make sense too. Esp. because Browser-plugin isn't developed anymore...
Another small hint: wouldn't it be possible to just use trackinfo_mod and not both the mod and the original? Would be cool. Thanks alot for this one!

By the way: you might take a look at the plugin "LyricsGrabber". It searches Lyrics on LyricWiki and works directly within foobar...

please help me with this problem

grrr ... use codebox please for long list like this!

so, your problem is due to that your CPU doesn't handle some instructions used by the component WSH Panel :

"Illegal operation:
Code: C000001Dh, flags: 00000000h, address: 0146738Eh
...
Crash location: "foo_uie_wsh_panel", loaded at 01460000h - 01494000h
...

maybe it is too old, what's the model of your CPU ?

btw, you can't use this config until you change to a newer CPU.

bye and remember to use codebox /codebox anchors please (you can edit your post above to add this anchors please, thanx by advance)

I've figured it out myself...
For the album art in the playlist you need to name the album art cover.jpg
And for the big album art in the left corner you need to name the album art *directory name*.jpg where *directory name* is the name of the directory of the album, in where the picture is...
But you can change that, and I've changed it both to Folder.jpg

You need to go to Preferences/Display/Columns UI/Layout
Then select from above the second Panel Stack Splitter and choose Configure, then choose cover, in the left upper corner... Then you see this in the textbox below:

//change image path here if your cover pics don't show

$puts(img_path,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,Folder.jpg))

Though you don't see Folder.jpg but something like %directoryname%.jpg, but I've changed it to Folder.jpg... You can change it to whatever you want...

Well, then go back to Preferences/Display/Columns UI/Layout
Select the first Panel Stack Splitter from above and choose Conigure
Select ELPlaylist and choose Configure
Then, at the tab Track list go down in the textbox until you see:
/////-------------------------- Cover Art (and dummy)
In this line:
$puts(img_path,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,cover.jpg))
You can change cover.jpg in whatever you want
At the tab Group Header you see the same kind of line, you can change it again in whatever you want
And finally go to the tab general\
You can delete the line with _art_path_
And add it again:
To do that you have to press 'new'
And fill in this:
Name to be replaced: _art_path_
Replaced with: $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)cover.jpg in which you can replace cover.jpg for whatever you want

I hope it's all clear, but my english is not that good, and i'm also not great at explaining

But...
I have another problem
The 'Open Lyrics File' button doesn't work, and I can't get it to work, I've tried several things... can anyone help me?

^^ I just read that last post, I'm glad you guys figured it out, but I actually changed it for v 1.1 and you don't really have to so all that

I used to use 2 sizes of images before, so I kept that for my config, thinking ElPlaylist would run very slowly with big image files. But now I realise that it writes to the memory only the size it displays, so it doesn't matter what the size of the image is.

So now I use the same path for all 3 places where it shows images, but you may possibly have to change it. See first post

just a remark/request, could you change the path needed for images cause as many users of foobar, i switch often configs and it would be practice if path could be :

~foobar-directory~/images/fooSune/

and not

~foobar-directory~/images/

What do you think about ?

I think it's a very good idea. Done. The path is now images/FooSune

by the way, falstaff. thanks for your compliments. I like your ibiza congif a lot too. I downloaded it and took some ideas from it (mainly for the playback order buttons, using panels. I was going crazy trying to make them without cwb_hooks). So thanks

*The open directory button seems broke, at least it does NOT work for me.

I have no idea why it doesn't work. In a clean installation it works for me. Anyone else has this problem?

just a question why you don't use the filter of Column_ui instead of foo_browser ?

Because I have been using browser and an old version of columns ui for ages, and I hadn't really looked into that feature. But now that I've tried it, I see that Filter does not allow to hide the headers, and this bugs me a lot. However, If you want to use filter, go to columns ui > layout, and in the panel splitter where there are 3 browser panels, add another 3 filter panels. Go to the splitter settings and give those new panels the same dimensions as the previous three. Don't forget to check "forced layout" in all of them. Then, delete the 3 browser panels, and you can remove foo_browser from your components

wouldn't it be possible to just use trackinfo_mod and not both the mod and the original? Would be cool.

I use the original only because it automatically scrolls the playing track text at the top, and the other one for other stuff that can't be done with the original. I don't think it's too important having both of them

The only strange behavior are the tabs at the bottom:

that's because "multiline tabs" is checked. If you download the new version it should be fixed. Or just change it yourself in columns ui preferences, under Playlist switcher

Great config. I got the albumart working thanks to Arrie, but I now have a question.

On my single songs, I added the albumart into the tags because I do not want to put every single single song in a folder. Is there anyway to make it show embedded art?

Did you follow the instructions exactly as they are? you could maybe post or pm me the steps you followed and maybe I'll be able to tell if something's wrong

I don't think so  You could, however, save all the artwork for singles into one folder, and point to that folder if the track playing is a single. If you want to do this I can help you tomorrow, gotta go

Big thanks for the update and the insight in your decisions..! I'm quite sure you also have a reason not to you the ColumnsUI Artwork View feature, but Trackinfo Mod..? Do you think it would be possible to include the Artwork View-feature instead, because it also supports embedded artwork what is quite cool

Did you take a look at lyrcisgrabber-plugin? Guess you'll like it, though LyricWiki isn't the best database. But it looks like the plugin is designed to implement other sites soon (when u look at the options..)

One final word to the Albumart.. Maybe I've overseen something, but why don't you use the _art_path_ variable that's defined in ELPlaylist general? I'd setup the variable there to something like that (all in one single line.. I had to chop it here to be easier to read!):
$if3($findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,%directoryname%.jpg)),$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,folder.jpg)),
$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.png)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.jpg)),
$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.gif)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%directory%\%filename_ext%,*.jpg)),
$findfile($replace(%path%,%directory%\%filename_ext%,*.png)),
$findfile($replace(%path%,%directory%\%filename_ext%,*.gif)))

This makes it way more flexible - noone will have to fiddle in the code anymore I guess
Of course it would then be necessary to also use this variable in Tracklist and Group Header such as:
$puts(img_path,%_art_path_%)

This has also the advantage that everyone just has to change the variable and not the code in both tabs..

Does anyone know how to change the album year on the left panel in to genre's?

Just right click on the browser-panel and select Splitter Settings.
On the bottom change "Year" to "Genre" but more important on the top activate the second "Browser" entry and choose configure-button on the upper right. You can then choose the content of the filtering. If you want to add additional filters go to preferences/Browser Panel

Sorry for all the questions but I have one last one.

How do I get it so when I open it up it shows the browsers on the right hand side instead of album artwork?

Sorry again, but it would be awesome if someone could tell me

Doesn't matter have figured it out now

you mean the left side, I guess

and on startup it should show both the browsers, and the artwork below them. It doesn't in your foobar?

anyway, if you right click the black tab buttons, and go to splitter settings, there you see a list with: cover, info, lyric show, browsers, album list.
info, lyric show, and album list are set to "hide panel on startup". browsers and cover art isn't. If you want to change which ones are hidden when you start you can do it there

edit: good

the album art is not in a trackinfo mod panel, it's in the panel slplitter itself.  I hadn't really looked into the new columns_ui, but I think it's a good idea for people that use embedded art. (so, Mr.Broly, if you wait just a little bit I'm going to look into it and probably make v.1.2 with embedded art working)

and about the image path.. you haven't overseen anything, as I said (and underlined ), I have made this for myself, mostly, and the idea of sharing the config came later, so I was not really taking into account everyone's possible needs. besides, I'm not really a foobar code expert, so I just went the easy way.: one image path, and if it doesn't work for you, I'll help you change it

but I take suggestions  , and yours are very good, so I'll try to make those changes for next version

thanks for your input

I followed the install instructions to a T on my laptop and am left with a foobar install that keeps crashing after more than 5 minutes use :/

Also, when searching for a song, say "michael jackson" it only returns one song out of the folder which contains all the albums songs. does this for whatever I search for
Title: My Columns UI config · FooSune
Post by: sune on 2008-08-13 21:42:17
that is wierd... I haven't had any crashes. But apparently WSH panels is a not-so-stable component... It might be the cause. (and if it is, there is nothing I can do)
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....5814&hl=wsh (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=55814&hl=wsh)

And about the search.. you mean when using the quicksearch box at the top of the playlist, right? Go to the components preferences and you can configure how it performs the search. In what fields, etc

also, you might try with a clean install and see if you still get the crashes and search errors

I've now set it up on my main pc and it's fairly smooth.

with regards to quicksearch results, I'm guessing it's linked in to the "singles" issue you hilight.

search results that aren't part of a complete album are all punched together without a header. is there anyway to have each search result listed with it's albums header?

obviously tagging these as singles wouldn't work as they are part of a whole album

I know how to fix that fusen.

For some reason (might be a good one, I don't know), Sune sometimes uses if(%el_item_count%,1) instead of $if($strcmp(%comment%,'single'))

You need to change all apperances of if(%el_item_count%,1) to $if($strcmp(%comment%,'single')) and it will work the way you described. Change in ELPlaylist settings, under general, and under style in track list.

Thanks Sune for a great config btw!

no, it's not a good reason ... it's something I added at some point to see if the "singles" thing could work out for everyone without having to add the tag, but I was sure I had removed that, I don't know why

I'm fixing it now (and replacing the cover image by and artwork panel), so if you wait a little bit you don't have to change it yourself

Also. I was thinking of adding another way to select playlists, instead of having only the playlists tabs that may not work for everyone. What would be better? a playlist dropdown?, a regular playlist switcher? any suggestions?

oops. "open directory" is for a service I have for foo_run.  "Open containing folder" is the correct one. I'll change it

and the sort button, yeah, I changed it for the sort by fields dialogue, as it's more intuitive, but foo_utils is needed. I forgot to add it to the components list  (or should I leave the old dialogue?)

Hey

How do you organise the main library panel to sort the album artist using stripperfix? (so it ignores "the" and "a" when sorting the library). I have tried going through every setting and changing it but it hasn't changed the main panel. I have managed it in the left hand side panel tho.

great config.

i have a small issue with the album art on the list view. some of the arts are not displayed correctly in case that  the number of rows are small (i.e. two tracks in the album, then the album image is being cut on the bottom).

i'm looking for a fix. but i have no experience on that stuff ....

best regards.

ps: where can i change the font size of the play time on the left top side?

Foobar2k hangs indefinitely when you try to open the folder of a song about 70% of the time.

This is a great config sune, well done.

I was wondering though how I could change from using the Columns Playlist to the NG Playlist.

Never mind I figured it out.

Hey, I'm pretty new to Foobar, but I managed to get your set up working on mine.

I have all my music in specific directories (My Music/genre/artist/album) and I was wondering if it was possible to set up the panels on the hand side to display my directory structure?
Title: My Columns UI config · FooSune
Post by: sune on 2008-08-15 20:31:14
sure, right click in the album list panel (second tab), and view > by directory structure

wow, amazing config. i just have one little problem, example: i'm browsing an artist in a playlist, if i switch to another playlist and then switch back i have to search that artist again because it moves to the top, is there any way to change this?

is it possible to instead of creating a new playlist whenever i use search to just finding it in the same playlist?

can I add some more lyrics sites?

also, i don't have the calibri font and don't know where to get it :\

version 1.2 is up, with some changes/fixes:

- Replaced album art image by an Artwork view panel that has more features and supports embedded images
- Changed artwork path in ElPlaylist. (now no one should have porblems with artwork not displaying, and images should not get cut off)
- Added a playlist switcher, on the left side panel
- Added a playlist dropdown that you can use instead of the playlist tabs. You can now switch between them, or use neither
- Fixed "open directory" button
- Fixed issue with group headers not showing when there is only one track inside the group.
- Changed the "sort by fields" button back to the regular "sort by" dialogue.

took longer than I expected because adding the Artwork view panel was a pain in the ***. Panel Splitter is sometimes clunky, especially when moving panels around, and there were redrawing issues everywhere when hiding/showing the artwork. (The bue bar under it was the key to solve it, but I almost went crazy figuring it out)

Having some problems installing it. The minute i import the .fcl file foobar, vista says that foobar isn't responding and the program crashes.

i don't have the slightest idea what i'm doing wrong...

^ umm.. no idea. I was thinking it could be the wsh panels component, but I think it would crash on startup, not when loading the fcl. or maybe I'm mistaken

you could post your crash log and someone who knows about this stuff (not my case) could help you, maybe

Create text file: this one is for when I find the lyrics on sonmeanings, I can just copy paste them in a new text file this button will create (so I don't have to go to the folder, create it, name it, etc)
With word pad, create a new document and write this:

start notepad "C:\Music\Lyrics\%~n2.txt"

^with the path where you store your lyrics instead of this one.Save it as "open txt.bat" in your lyrics folder

Add a new service called: "Open Lyrics File" (no quotes), and in the path:

C:\'Music'\'Lyrics'\'open txt.bat' "$replace(%title%, ,+)" "%path%" (again, the with the path of your lyrics folder)

And that's it. when you click the button, it will create a txt named as the filename of the track selected. you can paste the songmeanings lyrics there, and when you refresh the lyrics the text should display

I've done this and still doesn't work, what am I doing wrong?
Title: My Columns UI config · FooSune
Post by: sune on 2008-08-17 20:52:33
If the button does nothing when you click, it's because the service doesn't exist, or you've entered it wrong. Another thing would be that it launches the service but it doesn't find the .bat file, or something.

when you enter the service in the "run services" dialogue, you first have to fill in the service properties (label and path), and after that, click add. Otherwise it won't store the service in the list. (might seem obvious, but maybe it's what you're doing wrong?)

Amazing config - I think I'll be using it for a long time.

EDIT: I'm having sort of a weird problem.  Whenever I middle-click an item in the left panel, it doesn't go to my playlist.  As a matter of fact, it seems the only way to add anything to my playlist via that panel is to select the "*BROWSER*" playlist and then left-click an item, which automatically places it in that playlist.

Do you have any idea what setting I need to change to fix this?  I generally use "Library view" as my default playlist, FYI.

ANOTHER EDIT: It looks like I can middle-click and add to playlist by using the Album List panel instead.  Will the browser always automatically add whatever's selected to the playlist, or is there a way around it?  I really prefer it to the Album List panel.

Post by: sune on 2008-08-18 05:27:36
thanks

about your question, I didn't really configure the behaviour of the browser or the album list components.. and if I had they wouldn't have been exported with the fcl file, I think. Everyone uses foobar in their own way, I just "provided" the interface, but you have to adapt it to the way you want it to behave.

Just go to preferences > media library > browser  and there you have a couple of settings you can change, only for double-click, not for middle-click, though. Edit/send to active playlist (or current playlist) might be what you want.

hm, how do you add the picture to the album? I don't seen any way  i suck

Install Album Art Downloader.  Install the Run Services plugin.  Add the following as a Run Service named Coverdownload:

Code: [Select]
"C:\Program Files\foobar2000\AlbumArtDownloader\AlbumArt.exe" "%artist%" "%album%" "$replace(%path%,\%filename_ext%,)/folder.jpg"

Add this as a button:

Code: [Select]
$button(72,16,0,0,27,20,images\FooSune/BUTTONS\foobarforum.png,images\FooSune/BUTTONS\foobarforum_over.png,Coverdownload,)

You will need to play with the placement to make the button appear where you want it.

In a nutshell this button will launch the Album Art Downloader program, feed it the artist info it needs, and allow you to download the cover art you need.  It will automatically place the file in the correct folder, and the playlist will autoupdate with the new artwork.

sune, thank you very much for your configuration !!
I am using it now and everything works as it should work.
I tried many configs and yours is the first I really like. It's very handy (especially the artist, album and year browser), looks great and it's not bloated. It's exactly what I was searching for.
Also thanks for fixing the issue with group headers not showing when there is only one track inside the group.
I have one little question. I have my music collection in the Flac format. When playing the flac files, the group header shows FLAC, a question mark and the bitrate (for example FLAC ? 762). Is it possible to change it so that it shows VBR instead of a question mark or that it just shows only FLAC and bitrate?
Also the shown bitrate is the average bitrate for the first song only. Is it possible that it shows the average bitrate for the complete album?

Thanks again very much.

Actually I figured that fooBrowser takes a lot of resources and is quite unstable. The Filter-function of columnsUI seems to do a much better job. Actually when you fiddle around with the config a little bit it doesn't look that bad at all. The implemented titlebar in the filter-panel is also quite useful because you can easily switch the filter-functions by clicking on it.. Maybe you give it another try, fooSune ?

hi,

I would like to know, how can I save my settings for the appearance permanently. I.e when I switch off the peak meter, after a restart of foobar, it is active again. This happens to panel changes too.

Also I have a problem playing the music directly from the browser. It follows the correct sequence playing a album for a while, but suddenly it switches to another album...how can I fix that?

I don't know if there is an easier way but you could change some settings in the columnsUI layout. When you click the upper most panel stack splitter all elements of the interface are listed. Some have the "hide at startup" checkbox active. They define which panels are shown at startup and which aren't. Changing the checkboxes should do the trick..

Though it would be brilliant if the skin was able to save the panels-config into a settings file or something like that..

on that i can help you. its easy. see first post (installation guide):

At the bottom of the playlist you have the playlist tabs. They have to be in onle line only. If you see something strange with the tabs go to preferences > columns ui > playlist switcher and uncheck multilines tabs. To the left of the tabs there is a little dot. It's a button for changing from playlist tabs, to a playlist dropdown, or to remove the whole bar.

Some have the "hide at startup" checkbox active. They define which panels are shown at startup and which aren't. Changing the checkboxes should do the trick..

Though it would be brilliant if the skin was able to save the panels-config into a settings file or something like that..

thx will try that!

Isn't it just a graphics card problem? I think after minimizing and maximing again everything looks okay or not? Did you try other configs with Panel Stacker?

Info to FooSune: The new ELPlaylist version now supports the core artwork viewer. Means instead of the %_art_path_% variable you can now use %path%,artreader. Would be cool if you integrated that new funtion in your config..

the following code in the track mod info:

Thanks for the fast response.

Well, my files have multiple entries in the Genre tag (e.g.: rock; hard rock; alternative rock) and browser plug in doesn't seem to understand multiple entries. It displays all the different entries as a different genre (big mess).

Does anyone know how to make this (browser) plug-in understand multiple entries?

reg,

edit: oh, now I noticed the Filter function and it does understand multiple entries. Now I have to figure a way to replace a panel with this (n00b)

thx

Yes, when you turn them off, right mouse button on dot -> splitter settings -> playlist tabs(on left side), tick "hide on startup"

I've continued to update and refine my mini mode.  I've begun to change some colors and styles and may eventually fold this out into a new config, who knows.

My goal is to have a nice, clean config that is light on graphics, but still very stylish.  I also want the mini mode to be as compact of possible while still giving controls and info to the user.

hm, how do you add the picture to the album? I don't seen any way  i suck

Install Album Art Downloader.  Install the Run Services plugin.  Add the following as a Run Service named Coverdownload:

Code: [Select]
"C:\Program Files\foobar2000\AlbumArtDownloader\AlbumArt.exe" "%artist%" "%album%" "$replace(%path%,\%filename_ext%,)/folder.jpg"

Add this as a button:

Code: [Select]
$button(72,16,0,0,27,20,images\FooSune/BUTTONS\foobarforum.png,images\FooSune/BUTTONS\foobarforum_over.png,Coverdownload,)

You will need to play with the placement to make the button appear where you want it.

In a nutshell this button will launch the Album Art Downloader program, feed it the artist info it needs, and allow you to download the cover art you need.  It will automatically place the file in the correct folder, and the playlist will autoupdate with the new artwork.

thx for this. its working fine here too.

Unfortunately since i'm using this skin, I get a run time error r625(?) when I close foobar. one of the components might cause this. any ideas about this error? it also does not happen always...

ps: i'm using vista 64

Remove the playlists dropdown components, cause it's unstable in vista. try it!

@ heid : that is really strange, it seems the header image is somehow "fading" to the right, I have no idea why, but maybe you could try different versions of panel stack splitter and see if it fixes it
Yes, it's actually a version problem. Go to http://foo2k.chottu.net/ (http://foo2k.chottu.net/) and download v0.3.4a. That should fix it

hey everybody. I am really really enjoying Foo_sune, one of the best non-PUI configs i have tried.

I have one customization i would like to make, but im not much of a coder, and im not into ElPlaylist at all, so thought you guys might help me out

I tag all my favorite tracks with FAV "1", and would like to place a webdings star in front of the trackname, when browsing songs.

also, if i could place a star after the albumart, when the albums are collapsed, if the album contains a song with FAV "1".

Im trying to solve the first problem, with little luck,  but i have absolutely no idea on how to do the second one.

thank you

Post by: sune on 2008-11-04 16:02:40
The star in the album header is not possible, unless the track tagged as FAV is the FIRST on in the album..

For the star in front of the track name, you have to add this line in Elplaylist settings > Track List tab

Code: [Select]
$if($strcmp(%fav%,1),$font(wingdings,9,)$drawtext($char(171),$add($get(tracknumber_indent),13),0,,%el_height%,%_color_title_text_%,vcenter),)$font(calibri,8,)

You have to add that in 3 places (bolded here so you can see where to put it:)

$if($stricmp(%comment%,'single'),
        $drawtext($char(8226),$sub($get(tracknumber_indent),3),1,,%el_height%,%_color_title_text_%,vcenter)
        $if($strcmp(%fav%,1),$font(wingdings,9,)$drawtext($char(171),$add($get(tracknumber_indent),13),0,,%el_height%,%_color_title_text_%,vcenter),)$font(calibri,8,)
        $drawtextex(%album artist%  -  %title%,$get(title_indent),1,$get(left_text_width_single),%el_height%,$if(%el_isplaying%,223-234-255,%_color_title_text_%),vcenter end_ellipsis)
        $drawtext(%length%,-$add(%_right_track_%,4),1,,%el_height%,%_color_tracknumber_text_%,vcenter right)
        $drawtext($if($stricmp(%album artist%,%artist%),['(' %album% ')'],$if(%album%,[%artist%  ]['(' %album% ')'],[%artist%])),-$get(title_indent_right),1,,%el_height%,%_color_artist_text_%,vcenter right)
,
  $if($stricmp(%album artist%,%artist%),
        $drawtext([%tracknumber%],$get(tracknumber_indent),0,,%el_height%,%_color_tracknumber_text_%,vcenter)
        $if($strcmp(%fav%,1),$font(wingdings,9,)$drawtext($char(171),$add($get(tracknumber_indent),13),0,,%el_height%,%_color_title_text_%,vcenter),)$font(calibri,8,)
        $drawtextex(%title%,$get(title_indent),0,$sub(%el_width%,220),%el_height%,$if(%el_isplaying%,223-234-255,%_color_title_text_%),vcenter end_ellipsis)
        $drawtext(%length%,-$add(%_right_track_%,4),0,,%el_height%,%_color_tracknumber_text_%,vcenter right)
        ,
        $drawtext([%tracknumber%],$get(tracknumber_indent),0,,%el_height%,%_color_tracknumber_text_%,vcenter)
        $if($strcmp(%fav%,1),$font(wingdings,9,)$drawtext($char(171),$add($get(tracknumber_indent),13),0,,%el_height%,%_color_title_text_%,vcenter),)$font(calibri,8,)

sune, thank you very much for your configuration !!

"None More Black" is the first artist but it is a various artist compilation.

I have another question which I think I already know the answer to.  I like to listen to internet radio and winamp/songbird/amarok/etc have an interface where you don't have to use your web browser to get this.  Is there a plugin that gives a shoutcast built into foobar.  I've researched for hours and found nothing so I doubt it but maybe you can help me.

Thank again.

I have a litle problem with the album art

I have some album art that are not always in square size
so when songs from this album added to the playlist, the album art is stretched (i.e. not in the normail ratio)
I know how to set to keep the ration of the one in the left hand side (the larger one)
but how about the one in the playlist? how to keep the ratio in the smaller album art?

On the other hand, when I start foobar2000
some of the regions turn into white
but when i play a song / resize the foobar, the problem disappears
is it possible to keep everything "beautiful" right after I start the foobar?

Thanks

EDIT: I got another question. As you can see on the pics above there is a little break in the design in the upper right corner. If you compare it to the origin screenshot you'll see that the progress bar is not shown correctly. Is it a "bug" in Vista 'cause I got exactly the same failure.

Failed to load DLL: foo_uie_trackinfo.dll
Reason: This component is not compatible with this version of Windows and needs to be recompiled with a newer version of the foobar2000 SDK; please contact the author of this component to obtain an updated version of this component.

Any way to fix this? Got 64bit vista

I read through the thread and didn't see this problem:

I start up Foobar, clean install, install all of the required .dll files (and associated C++ files), and try and import your format but it gives me the following error:

Now it may be where I'm installing the C++ files in do they go in the "\components" folder?

Thanks,

This problem was annoying me as well.  I know nothing about coding, skinning, or scripting. Through trial and error (lots of error) I discovered I had increase the height a bunch  (500ish pixels) of the image top.png (located in the foo_sune other folder). I kept trying to increase the width to no avail (Im still confused why, but it seemed to fix it).

I'm having these two exact problems. Is there a fix to it? I'm also running Vista 64.

Try this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/225938550/foo_uie_trackinfo.dll (http://rapidshare.com/files/225938550/foo_uie_trackinfo.dll)
I found it somewhere in the net but just doesn't know where anymore. Tell me if it works 'cause I use it on my own 64 bit system.

yes PLEASE could somebody do this. I've been scouring the internet looking for foo_browser.dll and foo_cwbowron.dll as they have been taken down by the author. I managed to find foo_browser.dll hidden away in another person's config .zip but have been unable to find foo_cwbowron.dll as any mention of it only links back to the original source which has been taken down!

For anyone else in my situation I've uploadad a copy of foo_browser.dll here (http://www.zshare.net/download/61007273d1afe7e2/).

Could someone please do the same for foo_cwbowron.dll? Thanks in advance.

First off; thanks a million to Sune and supporters of his work!. Great stuff!

I'm pretty new to footweaking so mayb i'm overlooking something but i'm gonna have to ask you guys anyway.

I seem to be missing some options that, seeing the installation instructions or messages on the board, should be present.

For my albumcover adjustments: When I go to Columns UI -> Layout -> 2nd Pannel Stack Splitter -> Configure -> Covers. I can't further configure Covers and there's no textbox below where I can change the image path.

For my album list color adjustments: When I go to Media Library -> Album List Panel -> Advanced Tab. I see no options for altering color schemes. I'm using the Directory structure view.

I Hope someone can help me with this cuz when it's fixed all will be well!

Anyone help with the "filter" replacement for foo_browser?

When I try to load the config it says "layout import was aborted" because the following required panels are not installed:

Browser Panel

I take it that's foo_browser.

Does anyone have foo_browser they can share?

I've d/led all components except for music browser, which was deleted apparently. However, yet i get errors "not installed" when importing the FCL.

Browser panel
ALbum List
Quick Search Toolbar
WSH Panel
Track Info
Playlists Dropdown

Help, please!

I just heard about FooSune at http://www.head-fi.org/a/foobar2000-appearance-customization-skins-themes-configs (I only started using foobar2000 less than a week ago).  It looks great, but there doesn't seem to be a way to download it.  The first link in the article brought me here and the second link takes me to deviantart.  While deviantart allows people to download FooSune, all the functionally important parts are stripped out, as per deviantart policies, and all that remains are .txt and image files.

Is there someplace else where FooSune cane be downloaded?

If not, is there some other way of making the borders around each component either disappear or become customizable insofar as color?  I've customized the foobar2k layout and color schemes as much as I can by tweaking and exporting  themes, but I'd still like to make the overall shell look nicer.  I'm a miracle worker with CSS, but CSS is no DLL.
