Title: How to encode 5.1 channels to FLAC
Post by: forced on 2006-08-02 19:22:50
I'd like to encode 5.1 channel audio to FLAC.  The format supports up to 8 channels and all kinds of sampling.  But hard as I might, all the examples I can find are for encoding PCM raw or WAV 2-channel audio.

Can someone point me in the right direction to encode six channels?  Maybe 6 different WAV or PCM files compressed into a single FLAC file.

You should [a href='index.php?showtopic=21812']prepare 6-ch PCM WAV[/a] file and then feed it to the FLAC command line encoder.
