Central Europe -
Czech Republic, pretty unknown country for many people in the world especially for Americans!
europe - france
Europe - Norway (Scandinavia)
Well, which one should I chosse?... for Southeast Asia.
Probably, East Asia. Thailand, to me, is more eastern than southern.
by the way, you should have Oceania instead of Australia because it will include Australia and nearby countries like New Zealand, and Fiji.
All countries on the Asia-Pacific rim is Asia/East.
Asia/South starts from Bangladesh westward.
Yes my bad, I should've written Oceania there :/ ... however technically Oceania is not a continent or subcontinent
Edit: Typo
Eurasia. Just on limits of Asia with Europe.
Eurasia. Just on limits of Asia with Europe.
LOL ... Russia and all countries west of the Caucasus Mountains can be safely called Europe.
It's Turkey that I'm not so sure...

Well. I wouldn't say that. There are some provinces and halfly depended republics where the language is totally diferent from Russian ( mostly turkic dialects and of course Muslim religion). Crazy mix of turk(mongolian) and slovenian tribes. It's not Europe neither Asia. It's Eurasia.
North America.
Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico to be exact.
I'm from Japan.

Yay I found a one from Czech I have some sentences in Czech on my label and want them to be translated in English.
I'm from Europe, the Netherlands (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netherlands), sometimes called Holland.
Europe, Italy, Venice
Europe - Britain / Hungary.
If you need some Hungarian translation I might be able to help :-)

No spice here. I'm not living in the city centre, but the our city centre is showing the sad truth of 70/80s concrete jungle style of architecture. But there's a solution for the city: pull down all buildings and rebuild

I'm from Adelaide, South Australia but will be moving to Buxton, England next week!
Edit: After seeing some users post links to info on their cities I thought I'd do the same.
Adelaide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelaide), where I was born and raised, is a lovely city and I'll miss it very much. If you're ever in Australia I strongly suggest you visit.
Buxton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buxton), my future home, is a wonderful almost rural town. I look forward to spending quite a few years there.
I come from a small town near Stuttgart, Germany, Central Europe.

Well geologically it's part of the North American subcontinent.
Easy to chose a checkbox for me. Born in Paris, lived in France most of my life and currently in England, Europe.
lnternet is great to throw the national barriers down and share all together. Though nobody voted 'Africa' yet... ls Internet too pricey there?
Sheesh, how about New Zealand? And no, we don't come under 'Australia'. 'Australasia' perhaps, or 'Oceania' (better). Even South Pacific would do.
Central Europe - Austria
from the southern part (as if it was big enough to mention that..)
New Hampshire USA
I find it unexpected that Europe is where most of us from by a quite a big margin (so far).
Fascinating.

I guess we could count as North America?

Its not so surprising anymore once one knows where most of the "core" is from. Get on the IRC-channels for just a few days, and you'll understand what i mean. Also, the frapper map which was started a few months ago also painted a similiar picture. However, i also did not expect the margin to be THAT big (so far). Contrary to the irc-channels and the frapper-map, this poll is visible right on the portal-page..... i didn't expect a "visible" poll to still be biased so much towards europe.

Don't know what to choose...
There should be an option like "unsettled"
Was born in Russia (2 years), moved to the Ukraine (17 years), Russia again (10 years), Iraq (2 years), now Hong Kong (for 2 years already)...

Hmmm... I've learnt a lot from posting this poll...
If we ever do a poll like this again, I will surely change it like this:
Where do you currently live?Choose your region:
- Africa
- America - North (incl Mexico)
- America - South
- Asia - East (incl SEAsia)
- Asia - South
- Asia - West (the mid-east)
- Eurasia (ex Soviet Union, Turkey)
- Europe
- Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific, Hawai'i)
If we ever do a poll like this again, I will surely change it like this:
Where do you currently live?
Choose your region:- Africa
- America - North (incl Mexico)
- America - South
- Asia - East (incl SEAsia)
- Asia - South
- Asia - West (the mid-east)
- Eurasia (ex Soviet Union, Turkey)
- Europe
- Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific, Hawai'i)
[/size]
You'd better propose options like this:
- Americas
- Europe
- CIS region
- Middle East
- Far East
- Africa
- Pacific Rim
BTW, Eurasia is a name of the largest continent which consists of Europe and Asia .
I really love IKEA's hotdogs!
BTW do IKEAs all over the world have such hotdogs?
They sure do. And everywhere they sell for the same price. It's one of Kamprad's (the founder) fix ideas. Btw, hust to show how nutty this billionair is - What car do you think he drives?

Btw, I'm European (Sweden)

Pacific Rim and Far East intersects. And technically, Hawai'i is in the middle of Pacific (LOL). Americas need to be split.
BTW, Eurasia is a name of the largest continent which consists of Europe and Asia .
I am aware of that. But Turkey is not CIS. And some people from Turkey actually becomes confused whether they should be in Asia or in Europe. Of course, if Turkey joins the EU then the matter is solved.
But Turkey is not CIS. And some people from Turkey actually becomes confused whether they should be in Asia or in Europe. Of course, if Turkey joins the EU then the matter is solved.
That's a strange problem with Turkey . Turkey is a European country (from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East)):
The Caucasus region, Cyprus, and Turkey, although often grouped into Southwest Asia based upon geographic proximity and continuity, are generally considered culturally and politically European due to their various historic and recent political ties to that region.
Central California - basically in the middle of the state, and surrounded by literally hundreds (if not thousands) of acres of farmland. If you enjoy raisins, they probably came from from vines around here (Sunmaid Raisin's main facility is about 1/2 hour up the freeway from here).
Hmmm... I've learnt a lot from posting this poll...
I've learnt (I don't know whther this is sad or not): You can leave africa out in future. 2 people from africa. I guess from the northern countries or south africa...
I come from northern Germany - actually it's coast of the North Sea.
I really love IKEA's hotdogs!
BTW do IKEAs all over the world have such hotdogs?
They sure do. And everywhere they sell for the same price. It's one of Kamprad's (the founder) fix ideas.
Hah! That is not true. The prices here (Slovakia) are most of the time very much different than in, say Austria or Germany. And what sucks most is that they are usually more expensive, even though we have a much lower average income.
And I hate IKEA. It's freakin' huge and women force you to spend hours there.
Hi all, this is my first post. As I'm from Turkey, it was amusing to see people have the same confusion about whether it should be in Europe or in Asia. While we generally think of ourselves as Europeans, some other Europeans seem not to share this view, so I don't know.
I'm voting for Europe not only because I think Turkey should belong to Europe, but also because I'm studying in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Born in Ukraine, now residing in Karelia, Russia. In a week leaving for the UK.
For good.

Don't leave out Africa! Just because there aren't many HA members from here doesn't mean that we are not going to demand our poll option rights
