Hello friends,
I am a new comer on this digital audio world. I would like to gain knowledge in audio compression.. but i dont know where/how to start.
Can some one tell me some hints.. i wan to start with AAC. Anyone specifying some tutorials, docs and books will be helpful. Also if someone point to some open source implementation it will be a lot helpful.

Try the FAQ (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=7516), the Wiki (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/) and searching the forums. There is much to learn there. Also, reading up on the background of audio coding on Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org) will help you learn quickly.
