Here's a 30 second sample from MFSL Original Master Dark Side of the Moon (UDCD 517). It's the first 30 seconds of the song, "Money."
And for comparison....the EMI 1992 remaster - "CDP 7 46001 2 DIDX 226" and "7777-46001-2"
Apparently this version is the "Twentieth anniversary remaster" (http://pinkfloydcdscanz.bizland.com/DARKside/UScdp7460012ISS4.html). Not the SACD red book layer....anyone who owns that, please upload it!
Perhaps not the most complex portion of the song has been chosen
Here's a bit more complex sample from (the third song) "Time" at 2:30 to 3:00 in the song.
And finally, a portion of the last song, "Eclipse" from 1:00 to 1:30.
I would really appreciate it if anyone with the SACD version of this album would upload at least one of these samples...
This is Time.
Thanks Sebastian!
This is Eclipse.

Edit: Attachment removed. A new sample has been posted below.
We'll have to wait for ChangFest for the MFSL version of this segment....
Edit : no more than 30 seconds of the same song please (30 other seconds were already posted).
Whoop! Sorry Pio!
For first 30 seconds of Money is there only volume difference or something else (or it is my imagination to hear something else...)?
Edit: There's some background tone in MFSL version exists (AND noise, of course)
Sounds about right to me, I plan on decoding and probably replay or wavegaining (I know!) the samples to give a level playing field....
Here's a bit more complex sample from (the third song) "Time" at 2:30 to 3:00 in the song.
Here's the MFSL version of this clip:

I have just noticed a small thing... The APEv2 tags of my files indicate wrong titles and track numbers, so please ignore them.
Money
02:52:000 - 03:05:000
Edit: Removed, another portion of the song was posted for the multi-format 64 kbps listening test 2005.
Hi,
Is there also a conclusion or a summary of the quality and/or taste of these samples?
For those who are interested, I have "Eclipse" ready to post (if I know how) the stereo SACD layer from the 30th Anniversary Edition (EMI 2003). Also the last 30 seconds by the way, the same as posted before as MFSL, EMI 1992 and the RedBook layer of the SACD. Not a digital copy of coarse, but an analog captured with a stand alone CD-Recordable.
Regards,
Jacco
Go ahead.
Here's the same segment of Time from the CD layer of the SACD release. Personally, I think the MFSL sounds the best compared to this and other CD releases. I think it's about tied with the SACD layer.
analog transfer of 3:30-4:00 of Money from the SACD layer
[attachment=4570:attachment]
analog transfer of 2:30-3:00 of Time from the SACD layer
[attachment=4571:attachment]
analog transfer of 1:00-1:30 of Eclipse from the SACD layer
[attachment=4572:attachment]
I did these quite awhile ago, but IIRC the SACD layer was output from an oppo970, into an M-audio 2496, at 88.2Khz/24 bit, then split into tracks and converted to redbook, all using Audition.
