Title: 64-bit recompiles
Post by: Case on 2024-05-05 08:58:22
Despite being earlier against this, I have now uploaded hopefully all of the 64-bit conversions I have made of the seemingly abandoned components. The conversions can be found at the bottom of my personal component site here: https://foobar.hyv.fi/ (https://foobar.hyv.fi/).

Nice.

I noticed that if you sort by date, you have 2 components from 2022 (Stereo Convolution DSP and Taskbar Playback Progress Bar). It seems they are also compiled with the wrong FOOBAR2000_TARGET_VERSION like the issue I reported with foo_pd_aac recently.

Case:  would appreciate seeing a 64-bit recompile of the foo_playlist_bind 4.1 plugin, an old skipyrich project.  While I realize that the Library now provides the same functionality via using an autoplaylist, I'm one of those strange people who does not use the Foobar Library--all my audio file playing is from self-created playlists, and still use the plugin successfully in FB 1.6.17.  Thanks for considering.

I don't see any sources published and there's no point in rewriting such component. Why on earth don't you use Media Library? You don't have to use any other benefits media library offers, just use it to bind files from select directories to playlists.

I only have access to the last version of the plugin (4.1, attached) no source code unfortunately.

I guess because my playlists consist of entries mixed from numerous folders on more than one drive I'm just too lazy to track down and re-enter everything into a media library format.  That and just becoming too used to doing things one way for years.  Bad I know.  Thanks anyway.

While I somewhat agree, there may be a specific reason to prefer binding.
Autoplaylists are updated on real time while the plugin allowed to update a playlist on demand.

On the other hand you may achieve a similar result using a JSP/SMP approach and loading the query on demand.

Anyway, the original web doesn't provide any sources

VLevel DSP in the x64 version is all I need for my life - I can only say THANK YOU
For classical music (or more general, music with high dynamics) listeners, so essential and effective for casual listening, or in car/louder areas.

Really great initiative of you. Still happy.
CASE, on top of your web page, can you also link Peters official component page? I felt the itch, others may feel the same, to look and compare, thx.
