Title: [Dolby Atmos] Do I have to have a bed?
Post by: BearcatSandor on 2023-10-20 17:50:24
I'm an audio engineering student, and I'm going to be working with Dolby Atmos. If I know that I'm not going to need to deliver a file for a fixed channel set-up, can I create an Atmos mix that only contains objects with no bed or LFE? To put is another way, can a Dolby Atmos master file contain only objects, and still be a complete immersive experience, or are bed channels required as anchors sonically and by protocol?
