Title: Cue Files
Post by: bonedaddy on 2021-01-09 05:23:22
Hi all, just a quick question. Is there a program that can make a cue file from a compilation of flac files.
Thank You Bonedaddy - payuppal

You didn't specify an OS so I'll assume Windows
You didn't specify how simple or detailed the CUE file needed to be.
You can make a simple CUE with a BAT file or copy/paste over a template
Quote
FILE "File01.flac" WAVE
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "File02.flac" WAVE
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
[...]
FILE "File06.flac" WAVE
  TRACK 06 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

The CUETools suggestion by Roseval will make a more detailed CUE file but all audio files must be 16-bit, 44.1kHz samples stereo.
If the files aren't already tagged as a compilation including an Album Artist tag (e.g. Various Artists), you'll need to create a simple M3U playlist file (and place inside folder) to use for the input file in CUETools and you'll need to edit top-level (whole disc) Performer and Title commands after the CUE is created. CUETools will add Performer and Title commands per track from the tags in each FLAC file.
