Surely I'm not seeing something under my nose
but I'm unable to see "remove values" action in Masstagger work.
Here is my workout:
1 I select a track with title = Sophie's World (Audiobook) - Chapter 1 complete - The Garden of Eden
2 Open the proprieties window, copy the title and then close the window
3 With the track still selected open Tagging-->Manage scripts
4 In "Actions to perform" pane select "Add" and then "Remove values..."
5 In the "remove values" window, under "Field name" choose TITLE
6 In the "Values to remove" paste the title previously copied in the proprieties window.
In the output preview I see "TITLE removed"
7 The I go back to the "Values to remove" and erase the right part of the title leaving only:
"Sophie's World (Audiobook) - " without quotes
8 In the output preview I see "No changes"
Any help, please?
Thanks.
Remove values removes a value within a multi value tag. For example tag named Style: Rock; Alternative Rock; Grunge is a multi value tag.
Masstagger: Field name: Style
Values to remove: Alternative Rock
Will result in: Rock; Grunge
edit: wrong post
Thanks.
I thought that "remove values..." was working as a sort of a "string remove" function
working on any piece of the string but you are right.
And to me it seems that "Replace value..." works the same so the only option I have
to delete the word " complete" from a title it is to use "Format value from other fields..." with
"Destination field name" = TITLE and "Formatting pattern" = $replace(%title%, complete,)
Thanks.
