Title: What does rr3% mean?
Post by: blahblahbla80 on 2017-08-20 09:08:10
I've seen a few, mostly Chinese and Japanese, rips that have rr3% in their title. What does this mean? Is it something to do with RubyRipper?

If the rip is released as a RAR or other general purpose archive, maybe it means "recovery record" at 3% of total file size. The extra redundant data can be used to repair an incomplete or damaged transfer. Not sure how practical it is for file downloads over the internet.
